| Merry Hello and welcome to December 10th... | ||||||||||
| Today, my family and I will making our special yule wreath. I have saved some of the clothes they have outgrown from the previous year, and cut them into 2inch by 4 inch strips. I take a coat hanger, stretch it out so that it is the shape of a circle and spray paint it green or red. We all sit around drinking apple cider and eating left over popcorn tying the strips of fabric onto the coat hanger. We squish and tie until the whole hanger is covered and it makes a beautiful wreath. I save these and plan to give a couple to each child as he/she gets married and has a family of their own. This is all in hopes that they will continue this tradition. If I have been able to find them for a good price, sometimes we tie silver bells onto the wreath. Our wreath usually hangs on our front door until the end of the year. At that point, it gets packed away and I start saving clothes for that years wreath. Bright Blessings, and I will see you tomorrow Fenix |
