History
Past Their Best United Football Club was founded by Monty Boyce in 1905, the club first played their games at The Old Mill Football Ground. In 1927 the club moved to its current home The Athletic Ground which was opened by Somerset Legend Mary Bignall Rand (Olympic Champion). Since then the club has gone from strength to strength with some major lows and some even more major highs! The club's biggest highlight to date is doing the treble in 1988 winning the Somerset Senior Cup, South-West Trophy and the League! The club's biggest low was losing the League on the last day of the season to arch rivals Cheddar F.C in 1976.
Managers Comments
Hi Fans, Welcome to our web-site. This month has been a bit of a disappointment for the club. Although out of 6 games we have won 2, drawn 3 and lost one, we really needed to win the games we drew. We had many chances to win the game and didnt take them, most noticably away at Nailsea. However, on the plus side, we have signed a new player. Our new young keeper Craig Rothwell is a great asset to the team, im sure you all wish him well. I'd just wish Danny Richards a speedy recovery from the broken ankle he sustained on Saturday against Cleeve. Keep supporting the team. Thanks Julian
