Current Post:
United Nations Resident Representative and UNDP Resident Representative
for ten Pacific Island Countries, based in
Suva, Fiji. Major current conflict-related tasks related to the
UNDP programme in the Solomons, including the demobilization of
special constables, constitutional reform, weapons-free village
programme, national economic recovery plan etc. Established UNDP
sub-office in the Solomons, reporting to the UNDP Suva office.

1991-1994 Deputy Director, UNDP’s Global Humanitarian Programme
(which has since changed to UNDP’s Bureau for Conflict Prevention
and Recovery); concurrently managed the global UNDP/DHA Disaster
Management Training Programme (DMTP)
1994-1998 United Nations Resident Representative and UNDP Resident
Representative in
Papua New Guinea. Responsible for first UNDP rehabilitation
programme in
Bougainville
1998-2001 United Nations Resident Representative and UNDP Resident
Representative in
Sri Lanka. Responsible for relief and rehabilitation programme
involving over three hundred UN system staff and contractees
throughout the island.
