- Bass Pro Shop tents are nice, but a similar tent from Wal-Mart/Target is fine (and cheaper)
- For a first time camper, consider borrowing from a friend to make sure camping is for you and your son.
- Put your tent together for the first time at home. It’s easier to put together in the dark if you have done it once before.
- Put it up once you get home to dry and air it out.
