Cub Scout Pack Sterling, Virginia

Our October pack meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Algonkian Elementary School, Thursday, October 5, 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Be sure to have your boys wear their uniforms...all boys who pass a uniform inspection will be entered in a drawing for a special prize. There also will be a prize for a "lucky scout." All boys who attend the meeting will be entered in the Lucky drawing.

Scout dues are due. Returning scouts do not have to fill out a new application, but please pay your $50 dues on or before the pack meeting. Make checks out to "Pack 905." Part of your dues go to the national scouting organization, and part pays for your subscription to Boy's Life magazine. The remainder (about $35), helps defray pack expenses: prizes, awards, patches, pins, badges, copying, and all that behind-the-scenes stuff.

New scouts who haven't already officially joined the pack can join at the pack meeting. You'll need to fill out an application, and when you pay your dues we will give you your pack letter patches, the National Capitol Area patch, and a rank neckerchief for your uniform.

Learn about scouting at Join Scouting Night, 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Algonkian Elementary School and Countryside Elementary School. Boys and parents who want to learn about scouting can come and see what the fun is all about!
