York District Pinewood Derby Date and Location Change!

 

2004 York District Pinewood Derby will be held on April 10^th at the Bonny Eagle High School Cafeteria.  Good luck to all Scouts Participating.  Thank you to Pack 349 and Troop 349 for organizing this event.

Mark your calendars.  Thursday, April 22, 2004 we will be holding a Conservation Project in the Kennebunk Area.  Look here for future details.  This is a great way to help your friends and community as well as help you earn your Conservation Badge!

York District, Boy Scouts of America presents the 2004 Banquet.  All registered Adult Scouters and their Spouse are invited to attend.  It will be held on Sunday, April 25^th at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 60 School Street, Saco.  There will be a Memorabilia display and Swap starting at 3:30 PM with Dinner Starting at 4:45 PM.  Cost is $5.00 per person, payable at the door.  Please bring a pot luck dish to share.  FMI:  Contact your Cubmaster.

Calling all CUB SCOUTS:  Cub Scout Day Camp PATCH CONTEST.  Draw your idea for a cool day camp patch using the summer theme of the “Wild West”.  If your patch is chosen as the “Official” patch for Day Camp, you will win $50.00 in SCOUT BUCKS, to be used for Summer Camp or at the Scout Store in Portland.  Some Contest Rules:

 

Designs must use the “Wild West” theme.

Artist must be a Cub Scout.

Art can be Black and White or Color

Patch design can be on any size paper up to 8” x 10”.

Don’t worry about words or lettering, they will be added by Council.

All Scouts and Adult Partners:  We are preparing to go to FUN PACK WEEKEND in Hew Hampshire at Daniel Webster Council’s Cub World.  We need your applications by the April Pack meeting on April 27^th so that we can make reservations.  We plan to attend the weekend of July 31^st – August 1^st.  The Fun Pack Weekend will be a Camp Carpenter, in Manchester, NH.  I understand that Camp Carpenter is also the home of the New Hampshire Boy Scout Museum. 

 

As in past years, we are limiting the FUN PACK WEEKEND to Scouts and their Adult Partner.

All Webelos and Bears.  Our BATTLESHIP COVE OVERNIGHT trip is being planned for the fall.  Cost is $40.00 per person.  Scholarships are available, please contact your Cubmaster or Den leader.
