Tuesday August 14, 2001 We started the night off by reviewing group numbers, particularly "Advantages" and "Next". We had just enough time after an hour to run some of the choral parts in "Four Black Dragons." Memo to me to review ad nausea measures 214 thru 232 in advantages since I am wont to sing the last part an octave below the top part instead of a fourth below! Yikes! I also rehearsed in the Executioner scene and watched Tony do his Old Samurai (which I am understudying)....

Wednesday August 15, 2001 I got to rehearsal a little early and was able to go over the choreography for "Next" dancebreak. Erwin was a great help in hammering in those counts. I want to make sure I get them sharp.... Francis came in before call and was able to answer many of our questions even though he was technically at dinner.... I had a great time re-learning "Next" as well as getting "Advantages" down pat!

Thursday August 16, 2001 We covered a number of scenes this evening. We started with "New Arrivals" into "There is no other way" (aka Tamate's Dance), the boat scene, "Four Black Dragons" and "Chrysanthemum tea." Nicole took a picture of Erwin, Linda, Dana, Hisato and me this evening using her own camera as well as Hisato's Digital camera... I'm too tired to finish this tonight....
