"ATTACK ON AMERICA"

"AMERICA'S DAY OF TERROR"

"TERRORRISTS ASSAULT AMERICA"

These are just some of the captions that America awoke to today. Hijacked planes crashed into both towers of the World Trade center today, causing both to collapse, killing and injuring God only knows how many. Another plane also crashed into the Pentagon - so far the fatality count is 800 for that disaster.  The total count must be in the thousands!
Truly, an horrific event.

Kelley spoke to us in the Green Room and made a very passionate plea for us to continue with our performance today. I wish I could remember everything Kelley said, as he gave a very eloquent and moving speech, both to us in the Green Room and to the audience.
I remember Kelley said, "we are artists and we choose to remember this day by creating art."
When he also spoke to the audience, he thanked them for joining us even on such a day as this one. He dedicated tonight's show, as well as the rest of the run, to the people all over who are touched by this disaster. He quoted a congresswoman who said "They [the terrorrists]cannot destroy the world's greatest democracy with violence."
