As I walked up to the callboard to sign in, David Sanchez stopped me to say that I "missed Lea."
That would be none other than LEA SALONGA!!
I actually thought that  she would be here. I had dinner with Dave and his friend Ann Watson before the show tonight, and Dave told me that he saw Michael with a guy and a girl (who wasn't Alex and Nicole) so I guessed then it must be Lea and maybe Michael's friend Greg (or is it Craig?)..

The show had a different energy tonight; not just because of Lea but also because tonight is being videotaped (for archival purposes only, per union regulations) but it is also Francis' last night before he flies to New York. His words to us were "Tonight will be my last impression of this show."" No pressure, though!

Not that the show was bad tonight. Quite the contrary, I think we did fairly well, and the audience was extremely supportive and enthusiastic (one of our better crowds, actually!).
However, I found myself doing mistakes that I've never done before: During "Advantages"I forgot to look up when we sing "arrange tomorrow to be like TODAY..."  and instead turned to the right, ready to bow for "float". ALso, during the dancebreak for "NEXT", I , again, miscounted and turned to face front a count earlier than everyone else.

"D'OH!!!"

Oh well. Lea really enjoyed the show, though!!
I was sooo excited to be able to talk to her, I'm sure I babbled semi-coherently. She was very gracious, though, and even posed for tons of photos with the cast. Oh, and her favorite color is "Blue!" She also invited us to come see her show "Flower Drum Song" in LA next month!
I can't wait to see it!.....
