We continued tech today until about 5 pm.
Tonight was first dress rehearsal. We also added hair (wigs etc) tonight. I only wear two wigs in the show (Thank God!) : I wear a merchant's wig and a Sumo wig. I asked if the British Admiral will have any kind of facial hair (sideburns/ muttonchops) but Sharon said that she didn't have anything for me....
We tech'd more of Act II today.
Tonight's run seemed and felt a little better but it wasn't without its pitfalls and stops. I wasn't in the greatest of moods by the end of the night. I don't know that I could pin it down to one major event - it was more like a large combination of little things that just ended up bugging me.
Well, I better get over it quick since we have an audience Tuesday....
Today is my sister Nikki's 16th Birthday!
To celebrate, my whole family (except for my older brother John and his wife - both of whom live in LA ) came to our last dress rehearsal/first preview. I was so excited that my younger brother Norman was also able to come , since he's usually busy with work or school!
It's also our first audience comprised of invited family, friends and volunteers. There were definite "improvements" but overall the energy felt good. It was nice to finally have an audience to react to.
I had a couple close calls for entrances due to quick changes (cagebearer and sumo) but otherwise it seemed to go ok for me.
