4-4-0 Steam Engine "Oregon"
WP&Z number 1 with a hearty trainload of people at the Park Wye. The train has just arived from the Washington Park loop, and is headed into the zoo.
The number 1 simmers quietly during the short layover at Washington Park station. Soon, it will be struggling back up the 4 percent grades to the zoo's gate. Both photos Summer 2001.
