CEDAR

Cedar has sustained First Nation People of Northwest B.C. for thousands of years.  It is sacred and also practical to us.
Cedar bark is stripped and pounded to make capes, hats, skirts, baskets and a variety of other items to use in everyday life.
Cedar branches can be braided to make rope and cable.
Haida's made their large canoes from cedar found in their homeland.
The artists carve large beatiful totem poles, masks, bowls and other items depicting the clans and crests of families.
Medicine for curing was made from cedar.  It is also a natural insecticide.
These roses are hand-made with Cedar bark from Haida Gwaii.  Roses depict Love.

These Cedar Roses depict Spiritual Love.
