Pokémon: Peter Bandit's Tale

Chapter 1: Prologue

In the world today, there exists creatures of extaordanary abilities. They are known as Pocket Monsters, or Pokémon for short. Pokémon have been catagoized in seperate fields, but they all are classified in the same way. Today, people have found a way to tame these interesting creatures. Some keep them as pets while others collect them. Pokémon are also used in sport against other Pokémon. This sport is known as the Pokémon League.

There is a large city that has revoled around many key factors; science and Pokémon. This city is known as Saffron City. Its population is of an average city size, but that's not the subject here. In a small house, a young individual has decided to sleep in through a beautiful day. Unfortunately, his Nidoran won't alow him to. He tickles him lightly on the foot to wake his owner up.
"HEY! Don't do that!" he laughs out. He then gets up in a sleepy grunt as he looks down on his Pokémon. "Was that really nessasery?" he asks his Nidoran. It just barks as to inform him to wake up.
Peter Bandit lives an average life as a disiple of the gym leader. Although he has no Pokémon of the leader's type, he does quite well with Nidoran, which he likes to call Nido-G or G for short. After breakfast, Peter goes out to check his mail. "Let's see what kind of bills we got today, G" he says while opening his box. There seemed to be only one letter that had no address. Only 'Peter Bandit' was written on it. Peter began to open it as he read its contents.
"It's from Sabrina. Looks like she needs us to head to the gym. Must be important if she sends a letter," he said to G. Peter then goes inside to get his Pokébelt and closes the door behind him as Nido-G follows along behind him.

Saffron City's Pokémon gym is quite a mysterious gym. The Pokémon specialize in Psycic powers which are extreamly rare. Their leader is Sabrina, who also shares these abilities.
Peter reaches the gym as he is greeted by a sage. "Welcome Peter. Sabrina is expecting you," he stated. Peter nods as he and Nido-G enter. The inside of the gym is laced with marble tiling and walls. Its pattern gives off an even more mysterious nature. Peter has grown used to such surroundings since he first moved here 2 years ago. As they approach the arena where gym battles take place, Peter looks around wondering many things. It would be amazing if he could actually witness a battle against Sabrina.
"Welcome, Peter. I'm glad you have arrived," a voice greeted from across the room. Peter looked over as he was about to speak.
"I know what you're thinking. You want to know why I summoned you here?" it interrupted.
"As a matter of fact, I would prefer not to have my words taken from me," he jestered. "Is there something on your mind, Sabrina?"
A light turned on as Sabrina, who was sitting on a throne looking down on Peter, was revealed. "Yes, Peter. And I am sorry for being rude. It's a habbit. I wanted to speak to you about your training."
Peter was always ready for any type of critique when it came to training. He welcomed it warmly as Sabrina came towards him.
"During the time you have spent with us, you have shown so much potential. I have witnessed many trainers as gym leader, but none with the spirit you possess. Which is why I have come to this decision..."
Peter wondered what type of decision she was talking about. Nido-G even look on with curiosity.
"The time has come for you to begin your journey. I want you begin the Pokémon League Challenge," she stated. Peter was surprized. She wanted him to go out and enter the League.
"I'm...I'm speechless," he said with joy. "Are you sure you want me to do this? I kinda figured that there was more to do here."
Sabrina smiled as she knew how much Peter enjoyed training with her. "There is not much you can learn from us now, Peter. There are Pokémon who can aide you in you journey as well. Go out there and meet them. It is your destiny to become a Pokémon trainer. Maybe even a Pokémon Master if you believe."
Peter smiled warmly as he understood what Sabrina meant. He then turned to Nido-G. "Guess we got a League to enter, G. Are you ready for action?" he asked his buddy. Nido-G looked eager to go as he shook his spikes. Peter then went off to go pack.
Before he left, he turned to Sabrina with a question. "Where should I go to first? I know there's many places that have League gyms, but where should I start?"
Sabrina nodded as she began to speak. "Go to Cerullean City. You may have the advantage if you find a grass type Pokémon. Now get ready to leave,"she advised. Peter then left as he was sure to do his best...
