The games story isn't that wonderful but it makes sense and it's better then nothing, Robotnik has returned after failing over and over to beat Sonic by using the Chaos emeralds for his ship and simply turning animals into robots (although he's still doing both) he has decided to go another route of wiping out team hedgehog as it were he has uncovered an ancient evil known as Chaos who grows stronger with every Chaos emerald it consumes and if Robotnik succeeds in getting Chaos to full power the world just may be destroyed thus leaving Sonic and his crew to stop Robotnik before this happens. The graphics in Sonic Adventure are quite good the textures are beautiful, there are some excellent lighting effects,and motion blur effects in place. Not to mention the characters are all have been given the attention to detail they deserve to give them the cartoony but well done look. The game plays silky smooth Sonic and all his friends movement are done well enough that the oddly shaped Dreamcast controller is still easy enough to play with. Unfortunately , there is a major problem in gameplay that stems not from the actual control of the character but the shoddy camerwork it's so unwieldy you'll die many deaths just because a wall or something has obstructed your line of sight causing a death that shouldn't have been luckily this is not the the norm in the game but it happens way more times then I would have liked. Now, the sound in the game is good the music is of course depending on your taste but I found most of the songs to be pretty good ranging from Sonic's rock & roll them to Knuckles hip hop theme most of it was very likeable. Of course the voices are another story Sonic's voice isn't too bad, Knuckles is acceptable, and Robotnik is probably the best of the bunch but the other characters voices are grating and the worst offender of this is Tails voice he's got a irritating little kiddy voice which makes you wonder whether Tails is a pre-teen Fox or actually just learning to potty train and another vice comes from this as the voices are not synced with the character's mouthes which looks strange and makes it even worse that you can't skip any of the cinemas no matter how many times you've seen them if your start a new game you'll be watching the whole cinema before getting to play again.
