I feel the need the need for speed....
Sonic's lightspeed dash seemed all but dead a few years back before the Dreamcast emerged. The Saturn never saw it's own iteration of Sonic platform style, it had a rehash of Sonic 3D which was a overhead 2D Genesis game that only had false interpretation of a 3 dimensional world but in actuality just slowed Sonic down and made him darn near uncontrollable. The closest Sonic came to 3D beyond that was a racing Sonic game for Saturn which was rather boring and uninspired leaving the blue hedgehog seeming all washed up along with the drowning Sega. Sonic Adventure marks Sonic's first true 3D adventure and for the most part it's what the fans of Sonic have been waiting for since the consoles went 3D back in 95. Sonic Adventure is more a Mario 64 done version of Sonic which is to be expected nowadays but luckily Sonic Team still managed to get Sonic's sense of speed into the third dimension. The game is split into areas known as the Adventure World and Action levels. The adventure world is like Mario's castle it's where Sonic and his friends explore to find their way to the next level, while the action levels are self explanatory Sonics levels are like those of old and are absolutely a blast to play. Sonic of course has his friends backing him up in this game each with their own mission and story Tails, Sonic's loyal sidekick returns in his own missions which mainly are like those of Sonic's just with Tails abilities and trying to keep up with Sonic like he use to do in the old Genesis game just this time your in control of that job by getting to the end of the level before Sonic does. The other Characters are Knuckles the Echidna from quite a few of the Sonic games whom searches out the chaos emeralds in a manner almost like Mario's search for Stars, Amy the Hedgehog a pink girl hedgehog who is infatuated with Sonic and was in Sonic CD she tries to save a little bird and it's family while using a big cartoon hammer to attack enemies, then there are two new characters to the Sonic Universe E-102 Gamma a turncoat robot of Robotniks whose levels are like on the rail shooters and finally the most boring of the bunch Big the Cat a hefty sized cat trying to save his frog pal by fishing for him.
