Lord Of The Rings Review 1/09/01 By: Brian Alspaugh II I wasn't going to go and see Lord Of the Rings. I was as excited about this movie as I am going to school. Maybe that's why I never go. But that being said I am glad I went to this movie. It far exceeded my expectations and although it was three hours long, it still left you wanting more. Lord of the rings is a three part trilogy based on a series of books by the same name. The Fellowship of the Rings, the first part in the series, follows a hobbit who must transport a ring to safety. This ring had terrible powers and cause men to go mad with power. The hobbit and a band of men travel across the world. The imagery in this movie is astounding. It has the look and feel of a fantasy world where Elves and Dwarfs can exist. The story is told well and this movie never really slows down. I haven't read the book but I would say that this movie should satisfy everyone. It's worth the price of a ticket. I give Lord Of The Rings 9.5 out of 10. |
