MIKE FROST & the Icemen
Mike released this 10-tracker of all-original material in 1999. At that time, the band was a trio with Col Ginger on bass and Robert Bonnell on drums. Jeff Harris plays tenor sax on 'Jammin' With Jeff' and Phil Yates plays the tin whistle intro on 'Time Is Marching'
Many of Mike's compositions from this album are still in the band's repertoire, and have become firm audience favourites
Recorded in '92 with the current 4-piece lineup, this 5 track EP features two blues classics, two contemporary tunes, and Mike's signature piece, 'Frosty Man'.
The Colonel sings on the traditional set-closer 'Rock This House', then pulls out the chromatic harp for William Clarke's 'Greasy Gravy'.
Mike & the rhythm section set a great groove on 'Drive Your Automobile', and we take Jonny Lang's 'Rack 'em Up' out for an easy shuffle.

CD REVIEW
"The band lays down an infectious groove of honest, straight-ahead Chicago-influenced US West Coast blues in the style of Hollywood Fats......take an in-depth look at this talented emerging outfit carrying on the genuine blues tradition."
