REAR SHACKLE FLIP
WHY FLIP THE REAR SHACKLE? WELL, HAVING LPG TANK FITTED WHERE THE SPARE TYRE WAS, GROUND CLEARANCE IS A BIG PROBLEM. PRIOR TO THIS EXERCIZE THE LPG TANK WAS ONLY 1 1/2" HIGHER (Note picture opposite) THAN THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR DIFF. WHEN BEACH FISHING, THE LPG TANK HAS TAKEN A FEW HARD KNOCKS.
To overcome this problem, I fabricated the bracket on the far left. A bit of work with a angle grinder is required to the original shackle mounting, as shown in the middle pic.
Picture on the left shows spring position now, with the    previous position above. Gained 3 5/8" of lift at the axle. The difference can be seen in the pic on the right, the LPG tank was only a 1 1/2" above the bottom of the diff.
