Hee hee, sorry if it's a little large.
Map
That is the map, and it is important to look at it when you're moving. You can only move from a place to a place next to it. There are three words I use for places you can exist at - Territories, Locations, and Compounds. Some Locations are inside Territories, and Compounds are inside Locations/Territories. It takes an action to move from a Territory to a Location inside of it, or an action to move from a Location/Territory to a Compound inside of it, and vice-versa.

Territories.
Earth
0 days from Earth
1 day from Earth
2 days from Earth
3 days from Earth
4 days from Earth
5 days from Earth
Jupiter
AXIS

Locations inside territories.
Earth: North America, South America/Straight of Magellan, Arctic, Antarctic, South Africa, Europe, North Africa, Middle East, East Asia/Oceania, Australia
0 days from Earth: Earth Orbit
1 day from Earth:
2 days from Earth: Side 4
3 days from Earth: Moon, Side 2, Side 5, Side 6, Side 7
4 days from Earth: Side 3
Jupiter: Jupiter Orbit

Note - Earth is a territory, but in order to get there you have to go through Earth Orbit. Check out the Ship rules in the rules page to see how ships can enter Earth.

On earth, you may only travel to adjacent locations, just like space

Also, any ship moving off of Earth from a Compound with a spaceport may make 2 actions that update.

When going to or from Earth Orbit, you must go directly to/from a spaceport, unless there's some special rule that applies to you (being a Rogue, going in a Pegasus/Zanzibar, etc.)

Finally, it's possible to go from 5 days from Earth to AXIS or Jupiter if you are on a ship. The time lengths it takes are listed in the sidebar.

Location Descriptions:

Earth: Quite a bit worse off than it is today. Battles are raging constantly, with sides gaining and losing territories by the month.

Lowdown of the Earth locations

West Arctic - This location covers the arctic circle, Greenland and most of Canada.
East Arctic - This location essentially covers Siberia
North America - This section covers southern Canada all the way down to the edge of the good ole USA.
South America - This area covers all of Central America, the Carribean, and South America down to the fridgid southern tip. The Andes mountains run along the spine of the western part, but the rest is pretty tropical.
Antarctic and Strait of Magellan - Magellans Strait is pretty cold, but we can all guess what Antarctica is like.
South Africa - This is the safari area of Africa. Pretty temperate, slightly tropical, most regions can be found here.
North Africa - This region covers all of that giant, dry, desert area.
Central Asia - This location covers everything East of the Bosphorus going into the arctic regions of Russia or tropical regions of China. Mostly highland..
Europe - This covers western and Eastern Europe, as well as Greenland. Basically, this is all pretty temperate area.
East Asia and India - All the jungles and rice paddies of Asia are found here. In addition, this also includes a good part of the pacific.
Australia - This location includes the wasteland that is Australia following Operation British, as well as part of the pacific and New Zealand.

Earth Orbit: Just outside Earth's atmosphere. This region is relatively clean, due to the fact that most debris from destroyed war machines quickly fall through the atmosphere and burn up. Beware of combat here; smaller craft,  chiefly fighters and mobile suits, run the risk of being caught by gravity and falling to their doom.

Sides 1, 2, 5 and 7: Once home to billions of people, these nearly empty colony clusters have been decimated by the Zeon's nuclear fire during the Lourm Campaign in January, UC 0079. Though a few colonies still function, most have been broken open. The entire region is mostly shoal zone with thousands of drifting debris making navigation by large vessels dangerous.

Side 4: This colony cluster was once home to the Federation's strongest supporters in space; now, it too is a shoal zone.  Side 4 probably fared the worst of all the sides during the war. During the battle of Lourm, the Earth Federation lost control of the Side. But now that they have new strength in their limbs, they have reclaimed it as a territory. As of yet however, no bases have been placed there.

Side 6: This is the largest intact colony cluster between Earth and the moon. Side Six declared itself neutral months before the war began, and was thusly spared any aggression by the Zeon during the disastrous Lourm Campaign. As this side is neutral and mostly pacifistic, combat of any kind is strictly prohibited. However, soldiers from both sides are free to spend their leave here.  Severe penalties apply to any individuals who chose to continue the war within Side Six airspace. Your ships can't be repaired here, by the way. Neutrality.

Moon: The moon was a lifeless rock up until about forty years ago when Von Braun City was first built by the Colony Corporation. The Zeon have a medium-sized base here where they test weaponry in a low-gravity environment.

Side 3: The home of Fascism in the Universal Century. Side Three is the Zeon Duchy's homeland, and a huge colony cluster to boot. In possession of over 120 colonies, Side Three is also the most heavily armed colony cluster. The Zeon capital colony, Zum City, houses the Zabi Castle, where the Hitleresque Zabis command their armies.

AXIS: This covers AXIS. Nothing may be built here, it just serves as a halfway point to Earth or Jupiter.

Jupiter: This covers the actual Jupiter sphere. Jupiter Orbit means you're actually in high-orbit of the planet, where there's a good amount of gravity.

Jupiter Orbit: Uhh... Yeah.

The Tactical Map - Vlad has done you all a favor by making a tactical map, where he posts exactly what areas each side holds, the percentage of members in each location, the positions of fleets, ships, what is "on scope" and what is "off scope"... Everything. He even updates it. You can find it here.
