Survivor Fanatics Unite!
By A Future Contestant
(otherwise known as Bryony Casten)

There is a new topic of conversation sweeping the Chit-Chat section and the staff Spam.  The topic focuses around the most popular reality television show of all timeSurvivor.  Twelve years the show has been on air, and still it has die-hard fans including quite a few people within the walls of Hogwarts!

Each term I start (or in this case, Evan started) a new topic in the Penshire common room about the newest Survivor season, and from there we engage in spirited discussion about each episode.  In the PCR Professor Ripley, Billy Raven, Evan Murdoch, and occasional others such as Ava Black, Samuel Craft, and Keato Abbot pitch in and offer their insights and discuss whats coming up next.  This term it spread to staff SpamPAD, Professor Riddle, Professor Ripley, Professor OConnell and I always enjoy our weekend conversations about the show.

And what happens now, that were off season and nothing is actually playing?  Speculation, of course!  Its time to search the nets for all clues of the upcoming seasons, and reminisce on seasons past and contestants long gone.  One thing is for sure: Survivor is at PADs Hogwarts to stay.
Summer Reading Recommendations!
By Ava Black

Two books are coming out this summer that will answer all the questions most of us want to know!! First is Stephanie Meyers last book in the Eclipse series called Breaking Dawn. It is due out August 2nd.  The next is the last book in the Eragon series called Brisingr by Christopher Paolini.  Both series are great reads!  I hope you take time to read something this summer.  It enriches the mind and enhances the soul!!  Remember books are free at your local library!
Counting to 100,000 A Rather Lofty Goal
By A Penshire Contributor

We in the PCR of course have the well-known forum game Counting to 100,000.  We, however, understand the limits of reality perhaps a little too clearly and after two consecutive terms of failing to reach our goal of 100,000, we realized that we had better set something new, because there was no way we would ever reach that number.  Thus was Counting to 20,000 born.  A much more reasonable goal, and one that, when you worked towards it, you could actually see considerable progress.  Did we reach it?  Thats a secret Im not about to tell!

Penshires Morning Wake-Up Call
By A Penshire Contributor

We in Penshire have a special tradition in our spam topic.  It happens every morning, and is always guaranteed to brighten your day.  It is the Penshire morning wake-up call.  Good morning, Penshire!  Happy [enter day of the week here]!  is the usual call each morning.  Bry Casten usually gets to it first, but every now and then shell forget and someone else in the house will pick it upusually Keato Abbot, although a few other people have been noted to jump in with the phrase as well.  This wake-up call is meant to bring up spirits, wishing people a happy day even if they were feeling anything but happy.  Dont you just love mornings?
Important Summer Safety
Tips for Hogwarts Students!
By Ava Black

It is important that you consider safety this summer as you travel on home.  Remember what you learned during school and you should be fine.  Ask for help from parents if you decide to do any potion brewing at home, because Professor Snape wont be there to save you from your disasters!  Wear goggles and shin pads when you get involved in a pick up game of quidditch.  Just try to use some of that common sense you were born with!
Underage Magic Prohibited!
By Ava Black

This is a strict reminder that underage magic is prohibited by the MOM when off school grounds.  The MOM strictly enforces this rule and will be hand out strict discipline measures to those who break the rules.  It is especially a concern for those of you that live in Muggle homes and neighborhoods.  So be forewarned and do what is right!
Randomness in Spam -- It's a Ravenclaw Thing? [Part Two]
By Erica and Luna Lovegood

Last we left off, Luna had "died" and Erica believes Luna to be either still living or a ghost. Which is it?

[L = Luna; E = Erica]

L: Ghostie...ghostie...
E: *huh*
L: I'm a ghost! *doh*
E: then why are you calling a ghost if you are the ghost? Lol.
L: 'cause *innocent*
E: Why? *unsure*
L: Thats for me to know, and you to worry about. ;)
E: *mellow* There's more than one of you in here isn't there?
L: XD Why, is that a problem? *shifty*
E: You answer my question first, then I'll say if it's a problem. *mellow*
L: L: I swear on my mother [[[a pun there; no offence to the readers intended ;) ]]], I will do no harm.
E: :o I'm not sure how to take that. *mellow*
L: Lol. Mommy, are you scared? *tomato*
E: Should I be? *unsure*
L: Yes, you should be scared *tease*
E: :o *snub* *mellow*

So...Luna is now a ghost? Nah. This was all fun and games. Too bad for that, though. This would be a pretty interesting RP if our characters were like that...
Randomness in Spam -- It's a Ravenclaw Thing? [Part One]
By Luna and Erica Lovegood

Two young Ravens, as they are known on here, were sitting in their House's spam topic one day. How much nonsense can happen in the short length of time that they were there together? Oh, more than you can imagine.

[[L = Luna; E = Erica]]

E: *Erica hunts for food*
L: *Luna Lovegood sleeps*
E: *Erica throws a bucket of water on Luna*
L: :o
E: What? *unsure*
L: *Luna Lovegood runs and hides under her bed*
E: :o *shifty* *Erica decides to jump on top of the bed*
L: :o *Luna Lovegood gets squished*
E: :o I've killed her! *freaked* Not another funeral! *unsure*
L: Lol.
E: *hears a laugh* she lives!!...or her ghost *unsure* *mellow*

Look around for the second part, where you can find out what happens to the...ghost.
