| Truth about Chamber of Secrets found out by Gryffindor Student
By a young lioness Ever since the Chamber of Secrets has been proven right, there was still the question lingering in the air about the original usage of the secret room. Of course, the common story goes that the chamber was built to hold the famous basilisk, which has been destroyed by the famous Harry Potter. But that can't be it, can it? Along these lines thought another Gryffindor student during one of the History of Hogwarts lessons, while the Founders have been discussed. The amazing theory about the real usage of the Chamber of Secrets is as simple as flicking your wand: the chamber has been built not to hold and hide the basilisk, but because of something more precious than a weapon: make-up. According to old and truthful sources, it was only common sense that Salazar Slytherin was jealous of the make-up that Helga Hufflepuff was wearing, and so had constructed the Chamber of Secrets to house all of his even better smelling and more beautifying cosmetic products. Now is it up to you to decide if it's just a coincident or foretold and destiny, that Professor Lockhart Head of Hufflepuff is the one known to have a little habit with beautifying products. And that even the Slytherins show some kind of behavior when it comes to their looks. We Gryffindors, however, are proud to say that one of our housemates was brave and smart enough to find the truth behind the mystery. |
| A Whil O' The Wisp Sighted At Hogwarts!
By Arya Drottningu A student has reported seeing a Whil O' The Wisp inside Hogwarts, itself. For those who don't know, a Whil O' The Wisp looks like an orb of light that is one centimeter in diameter. This creature will make you unable to manage the simplest of spells in the daytime, and make you have horrible dreams at night. This certain student recalls seeing it in the Forbidden Corridor, and was so frightened that she couldn't perform a simple spell of defense. She said that she fainted when the orb was getting closer to her, and woke up again in the Hospital Wing. Some students disagree with her recollections, though. They say that it was probably the caretaker with his lantern in that dark corridor, and that she fainted before she could see the caretaker's face lit up by the lantern. I told this to the student who witnessed this Whil O' The Wisp, but she still holds true to her story. |

It is important to check them to be sure everything is correct. Just be sure to not register for the forum. There is no need since every topic is visible to guest. There is no need to post anything either, just pm or email the professor if there is a problem. |
| Term Starting
By Billy Raven Rumors have it that start of term is around the corner! I, for one, cant wait. Coming in towards the end of term, I really didnt take that many classes and all. I want to do it up right this term. I am going to go shopping for supplies, and get me an owl! I havent had one yet and the folks back home want me to have my own this term as the family owl will be busy. So my parents sent out some galleons for school supplies AND an owl! I am not sure what kind I want, a snowy, elf, or barred, but I figure I will just go to the shop and fall in love with one of them. I want to name it something noble like Galahad or Lancelot, or even Balian. I have my Potions supplies because of Summer Potions, but I need to shop for other stuff and Merlin knows we will need plenty of parchment, quills, and ink! So, I hope to see you all in the shops! |
| Summer Potions ~ What Youre Missing
By Billy Raven This is my first time in Summer Potions, though on the board I can see last summers faire. The class started with entering the room and finding a table, table mates, and a partner. That worked out in most cases with many pairing up with friends, but others had to be assigned, or take the first open seat. It pays to enter with housemates or friends, trust me on this one. The upside though is that some have mixed houses at a few of the tables and I think the professor had the idea in mind to have us get to know some from other houses. I am with a fellow Penshire in two of the classes; howeverI have a Slytherin partner in another. Not that anything is wrong with that, she seems, well, sort of friendly enough. The important thing is actually sitting in a potions class with the master! Professor Snape peppers his lessons with insightful information on making potions, plants, and some dos and donts. Also part of the fun is the interaction of those around you and you actually get to see how funny, I mean, dedicated other students are in class. All and all, if you did not take Summer Potions this time, dont make that mistake again, you will have lost a great opportunity to learn, work with the most oddest ingredients, and see a Potions Master at work! |
