The Welcome Wagon is proud to welcome a whole new group of Gryffindors this past month! We're so happy to have these new students and also welcoming back a few students who were away. We know they're going to make great lions! Welcome to Gryffindor, Angelina Locks, Annie Lovegood, Abigail Anderson, Ginny Potter, Drewcilla Storm, Shae Finnagon, Hermiona Jane, and Mariam! Also, we'd like to welcome back these students who have returned to Gryffindor: Hermoine Granger, Lily Duncan and Josh! We know you'll make the house of Gryffindor very proud!

Another month and another batch of birthdays to celebrate in the Lion's Den. We kicked off June with Sonic's birthday on the 2nd, and Rapunzal Benjey's followed the next day on the 3rd. The 8th we were able to celebrate Shanay Smith's birthday. On the 17th was Mishapatel's birthday and the 18th was Parvati Potter's special day. We ended the month by celebrating Rukia Potter's birthday on the 22nd and Nymphadora Tonks' on the 23rd. I can't wait for July and a whole new month of birthdays.

This term has gone through its ups and downs in the Ravenclaw Common Room. We've had our bad times; we've had our good times. Certainly, one of our main frustrations over the course of this year has been our placing in House Points as well as Quidditch. Although we are not up to par as the year before, I feel as if we have accomplished something better; something that will help us for the coming term.
We have gone through a process where we are now more unified as a house than ever before. We are more willing to take risks and try new things. We are more willing to do things just for the fun of it, for the experience that we will gain together, and not just for points. We are not as "point-driven" as we may have been last year, but for this coming year, who knows?

It seemed like ever since the End of Term dates were announced, the whole house of Ravenclaw got a bit hyped up. Ravens were posting everywhere! The games were getting filled up, the RPGs kept going and going, and lots of ideas and discussions went around.
The house staff, however, went around and saved important announcements and anything else, preparing the Ravenclaw Common Room for the House Cleanout on June 25th. After the cleanout, however, the Ravens are more than ready to start the summer�with lots of posting around the CR!

This month in the house of Ravenclaw, we welcomed twenty-four new students to the house, and we also had the return of our house ghost, the noble Sir Xanthus, as well as students Ashlee Carver and Kelina Bliss.
The new students include: Elizabeth Baylor, Molinda Bobby, Cassandra Black, Lilac Dezzy, imas, Katie Elle, Skyler Woods, Jacyn Corbin, Eliza Pennetberry, Eragon Shade-slayer, �Birdie, One and Only� (aka Eointhe Faustemouth), gina4peace, Emma Lovegood, Lyric Gregory, GwenTatham, Kankuro, Augustus Dolohov, TigreItaliana, Alana Midnight, Dawlish Ledgerwood, littlecricket, LucyLanderly3, Saphire, and Jean Codderhart. Once again, welcome to Hogwarts, dear Ravens!
This month has certainly been crazy, and we are so thrilled that so many of the new students have found their way around, and have become quite active in the Ravenclaw Common Room! And once they have found their way to the BB, which some of them already have, you�ll see them around more often.

Ever hear of change? No? Especially when it comes to the same old stuffy Slytherins?
Well, then, you're in for a surprise! A few different changes have been made for next term in the SCR and yes, also the admin staff. Sadly, Professor Snape will no longer be in the Slytherin Common Room. That's right, he is stepping down off of the throne! Good luck with the classes that you will remain professor of, and I know I speak for everyone when I say "We love you!"
*clears throat and ponders stealing self-made breeze*
The good news about this part is that a graduating student will be taking his spot! Seraphina Rosehill, wonderful friend and loved by most *cough*butnotalllikeme*cough* :D
...Pardon me, I must have something stuck in my throat. *takes a sip of water*
As Sera takes her spot on the throne, I am sure that all in the Slytherin Common Room will show her the respect due, and to tease her endlessly simply because we love her! ^_^ Congrats and we're all glad you've found a way to stay in the SCR.
As for prefect staff, I will be stepping down from my most delectable position of Senior Prefect. Yes, yes, I know. You all adore me and will miss me so *flutters eyelashes* but I know you will all do well without me, as Tom Riddle is taking my place! Congrats, Tom!
Also stepping down as prefect is Lily Merlin. Taking Lily and Sera's positions are Jess Dark Wing and Avin Holmes. Congrats, Girls, and may you be able to fight Tom's charm!
Now, as to the students who have come and gone, the project that have been so meticulously constructed for points, and just how well everyone has done in general this year, there are too many names for me to mention, but we all did well, didn't we?
*lifts glass of water* Ta on the new term, and may we win our cups back!

Slytherin has gone crazy on the last steps to the End of Term. Not only that there are a few people posting everywhere to wrack up their post count, no. Some ended up in a competition, others even wanted to make a bet about it, but then decided differently, and again others decided to wait for the new term to reach their brave goals. However, some created new games in frustration or safety that they will keep their place in the Top Ten posters list.
One amongst of them, the favourite red-haired Ex-Prefect Seraphina Rosehill. She created a new game right after she found out about Kiley�s evil plans to pass her in posts. The game was named very fitting: Kiley (grrrrrr) and had the only purpose to post the glaring smilie all over. If this game will last until next term is yet unclear, however most likely.
Several other smilie games were created, amongst them the Razzy? Sera, and Lily game. Each of these represent very well each of the students, and have grown to be popular posting places.
How the smilie � story will continue, who will end up passing who and many more�we�ll see if I can tell you next time when it�s smilie-mania time in Slytherin once again.
