| New Face in Slytherin
By Avin Lucinda Holmes I interviewed one of Slytherin�s new students, Allegra. Here is our conversation: AVIN: When did you get sorted into the noble House of Slytherin? ALLEGRA: About two weeks ago and it was the happiest day ever. AVIN: Was this the house you wanted to be sorted into? ALLEGRA: Yes, both of my parents where Slytherins so I had to continue de family tradition, plus it's the greatest house by far. AVIN: Did you think you would be sorted into a different house? ALLEGRA: Not even for a second, I always knew I was a true Slytherin. Since I was a little girl I felt a special connection with animals and especially with snakes. My dad always says that if Salazar saw me he would be very proud of me. AVIN: What do you think about our house? ALLEGRA: I'm madly in love with it. Everyone in here is so nice and funny, I don't have anything against other houses but the coolest people of Hogwarts are in here. AVIN: How do you like being in Slytherin so far? ALLEGRA: As I said before, I just love it in here. At first I thought I would miss my home but this really feels like it, Slytherin is a big and wonderful family. AVIN: Did you find Slytherin to be as intimidating as it reputation? Why or why not? ALLEGRA: For me it's perfect, but since I'm a pure blood and all my family has belonged to Slytherin since, well, ever, it's where I feel really comfortable. AVIN: What is the one thing you are most looking forward to at Hogwarts? ALLEGRA: All the classes. I got here a bit late to take classes so I'm looking forward to start with potions and DADA (my favorite subjects) next year. AVIN: What is the one thing you are least looking forward to at Hogwarts? ALLEGRA: Sports. I've never been too athletic and I prefer to stay in the CR reading and socializing. AVIN: What classes are you planning on taking when the next term begins? ALLEGRA: I'm not really sure but the one I already know are potion, DADA and charms. AVIN: Finally, What's your favorite thing about being a Slytherin? ALLEGRA: Being part of the noblest house in the school, having Professor Snape as head of the house and NOT mixing with mud bloods. |

| First ever update on Minds!
By Roxanne Whitez So we�ve had the articles written about Gryffindor�s newest minds, we�ve even had the ones talking about each mind. Now I bring to you all, an update on all the minds. This well, will be very similar to the post numbers update, but can vary with the coming updates. Coming in first, we have Hermy_own�s loved Fred, which is the :hyper: smiley of course. Even with the girl�s absence, the topic remains as firm as ever with 1,192 posts and the random-est topics inside since it doesn�t always revolve around Fred :P. Next comes in yours truly and her also lovable Laughter, the :neener: smiley. Celebrating its 900th post a while ago, it now comes to 1,080 posts! Of course, sometimes the little smiley would go off sticking its tongue into other topics. Following is Kimmie�s Kingdom, with 988 posts and soon reaching its 1k. Coming in order, our very own Prefect�s Mind, �Kristin�s Frame of Mind� stands with 691 posts, as Hermy_own�s �My Mind!� follows with 635 posts. Let me remind you of course, these are not solid numbers and by the time this article reaches your eyes, they�d have changed by then. Next, we have our photographer, Fiona Chauvet with �From the Mind of Fi� with 462 posts, followed by Rose Wicks� �Rorie�s World Thing� with 452 posts, closely behind. Our Head of House stands with 289 posts, with �Opal�s Unique Ramblings�, then Audrea Martin�s �Audrea�s Ambient Atmosphere� with 228 posts, and tailed by Hilary Stevens� �Hil�s place� with 270 posts. Coming to the last three, we have Adam Crawford Jr. and his �Adam�s Mad Science Lab� with 194 posts and �The Stephie Smiley� made by Stephanie Nicholson and her :hehe: smiley. Last but not least, a topic started by Kimmie Brandon but made especially for the common room�s heart throb, �Gawyn�s German Lesson� is there to help improve Gawyn�s German and stands happily with 33 posts. So there are your 13 Gryffindor minds, with the update, I salute you all good day. |

| Smilie � Mania
By Lily Valeriana It is official: Slytherin suffers from the Smilie-Mania! Like there are certain games on the Bulletin Boards, with the simple rule to only post one special smilie, the disease now starts to affect Slytherin, too. We Slytherins have six topics with the simple intend to post smilies, with titles such as �My brain shuts off after school on Friday and doesn�t start again til Monday�, �I�m so cool it�s unreal�, or simply �I�m the fantastic Tomilicious! What, you don�t agree??� But the smilie posting isn�t just limited on those topics. Almost all over the place, you can find smilie-posting streaks in all sorts of topics. You see, Slytherin isn�t only posting, we are smiling while we do it. |
| Hootie Addams' family to Visit
Thomasina Hootie Addams has invited her famous family to visit Hogwarts next Month. They will be stopping here on their way to their Summer home in Transylvania. Gomez, Mortisha, Wednesday , Pugsley, uncle fester, cousin it, thing and even their butler Lurch are scheduled to visit us in Penshire the first part of June and stay the week in Hogs mead village. I am looking forward to seeing them, for it will be the first time I have ever met anyone as famous as they are. Even the Muggles know about them and made a show about them in the 1960's and have a couple of later movies about their family. I hope that they will be here for the banquet and give a talk on their lives and travels. I'm so excited. They have invited the House of Penshire to dine with them at the Shrieking Shack where they will be staying. Thank you Hootie for inviting them. |

| Worse time of my life!
By Kevin Whitby I sit and wait for the fun, But how fun can this be? I just want it to be done! I wonder if I could just flee. Maybe he won�t notice, But how will he not, This is as fun as looking at a lotus, I must make a plot. First I will crawl to the table, And then hurry to the door, But will I be able to stay stable? If I don�t I will hear his roar. If I do make it I will have joy, But if I don�t I�m a goner, If there was only something to destroy, Then I would have a medal of honor. The only boy to break out, Of this horrid place, Without a doubt� I would be gone without a trace! Why do even have detention, Especially with professor Snape, It�s full of so much tension, And he does walk like an ape! |
| After the End of Term
By Roxanne Whitez So I had a topic set up in the GCR Chit Chat section, asking students to post what their answers to two questions regarding the End of Term. The first question was �What do you plan to do after the End of Term?� The common room�s heart throb had answered that he wasn�t too sure and �will probably hang out here, but all of that is subject to spontaneous change.� Our very own Leah Black answered, saying she�ll �probably go home for a week or two with her sister Aerwin.� She also supposed that �she�ll have to spend the rest of the summer looking for a vaguely affordable apartment, because she�s just old like that.� Does this mean that she�s really going to leave us next year? Being a seventh year and all, we could understand. And our very own photographer of the house, Fiona Chauvet, said that �she�s been planning to put together a photography portfolio of all the photos she�s taken during the school term, so that�ll probably keep her busy all summer.� After that, the second question was �Where are you going to go after the End of Term (if they were planning to go somewhere)?� Hilary Stevens answered that �she�s going home for a couple of weeks at some point, and she�ll just hang around at Hogwarts for the rest of the time.� I�m sure she won�t be the only around staying at the castle. And Fiona responded, saying she�ll �probably be visiting her grandparents for a few weeks in the country, like she does every year and then come back to Hogwarts.� So there you have it, whether you�ll be having fun or going somewhere, I�m sure that I�ll see you around the castle at one point. :D |
