The Teachers of PAD's Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry have decided to forget about doing the House Cup Championship, due to the fact that it is just too much trouble to keep up with the points, it gives the loosing houses low self esteem, and makes the winning house strut around like Peacocks gloating about being the "Best". Also one Teacher was quoted as saying, "The teachers don't get to take part and we don't get a bonus for having the winning house, so who cares who wins."
The Penshire students, who are currently in first place, have treatened to use their skills learned at the school to flood hallways, start fires, and do anything in their power to let their displeasure be felt around the school. Professor Ripley said that she has seen the fall of the school due to this decision made by the staff, but goes on to say that it doesn't matter she is tired of the "Rug Rat's" anyway and will be glad to send them on their merry way to their stupid families who didn't half raise the brats anyway.
The Parents deepest concern is how to get rid of the brats so they can resume their quiet peaceful lives that they enjoyed while the evil spawn were normally dumped on the school. The Parent's association thought of sponsoring the House Cup themselves, but agreed with the teachers that it was way too much trouble to keep up with. So they have decided to ask the admin. Of Azkaban Prison to take the brats, but the Prison said, "NO, we run a respectable prison here and want no part of teens and pre-teens."
We will be keeping watch and let you all know what plans they make for the school age children and let you know where to send the "Brats" next term.
Happy April Fool's Day!

CAUGHT!

PENSHIRE:
Penshires resident puppy,
Faith has been caught this month participating to the fullest! Her posting in the games has sparked a new fire there! She has also contributed writings and is working on classes. We are very happy the sorting hat put her in Penshire! Puppy Power!!!

Hootie Adams a returning Penshire has been sparking things up in Penshires common room. She has been and active poster and has written articles. She has also signed up for classes upon her return. She was greatly missed in her absence and the entire house is happy to see her return. All of these things make her a great addition to Penshires Caught.

GRYFFINDOR:
Adam Crawford Jr. has made a huge impression on Gryffindor! He's been here less than a month and already he is helping out. Adam couldn't wait to start his classes to earn points for the Lions! Plus, he's been really active in the Common Room and even posted a topic to help new people like him know what to do first. We're so glad to have Adam with us and can't wait to see him keep going in Gryffindor!

Rose Wick has been an amazing addition to the Gryffindor Common Room! She's been really active in the month that she has been here and is great to post with in the games and RPG's and is just an all around fun person! Aside from that, she has been reading and following all the rules and she's getting involved all over the house! We're really glad to have her here!

RAVENCLAW:
Cedric Cenn Faelad has been caught lounging around the common room not wanting to move or go to any classes. He's also been seen on more then one occasion pinching the new students as they walk by him. The three Ravenclaw prefects swear to have caught Cedric kicking a couple of second year students then tossing their books out the nearest window.
Cedric has been caught giving his all, not just to the house of Ravenclaw but to the whole school. He's always trying to help out where help is needed and can always be counted on. He works hard to better the school and help get students registered for their classes among many other things. He's a great person and the best Head Boy this school has ever seen.

Melanie Monopoly has been caught rummaging through lockers that do not belong to her. She's also been seen grabbing other's belongings out of the common room and shoving them in her book bag. A first year girl reported that she caught Melanie trying to break in to her dorm room and a close friend of Melanie's caught her trying to 'borrow' some of her hair products without asking first.
Melanie Monopoly
has been caught always being full of house pride. She has recently became the new captain of the 4C's, Ravenclaw's Quidditch cheer squad, a spot that she's very proud to have and we know she'll do great things with it. She posts frequently and is contantly in a happy mood. Melanie has also been caught making avatar's for members of the house and other students through her shop, Monopoly Avatar's, located in Diagon Alley.

One of the paragraphs about Cedric and Melanie is correct, one is not. We'll let you decide which one is true, we're sure you'll find the right answer if you think it through. Oh, by the way......Happy April Fool's Day!

SLYTHERIN:
Areyna Havic has been caught in the Slytherin common room! Although she has only been here about a month now, Areyna has shown herself to be a true Slytherin. She has been seen going to class, working in the library and helping out in the common room! We are very proud to have her as a Slytherin and we know there are more great things to come from her!

Marilene McGonagall has been caught in the Slytherin common room! Marilene has been at Hogwarts for less than a month, but she has already been seen going to class, joining the Writing Club and getting involved in activities within the school. Marilene is a true Slytherin and were are pleased to have her in our house!

HUFFLEPUFF:
Adrianna La Cerva- What can we say about her? Ever since Ade joined in January of 2007, shes been constantly trying to help out the house in any way she can. Shes always posting in the games; shes always trying to keep the pride in Hufflepuff. Shes also keeping spirits high and fun to have around. Plus, she also helps build our house magazine as well. She also tries her best to start as many RPGs she can.

Crystal Halliwell
- Crystal helped put together the dance Hufflepuff will be having in the beginning of August. She has also been posting a lot in the RPGs in Hufflepuff, which is helping our point totals. She also grabs any chance she can to help the house out. Crystal has also made many new friends in the house as well, and is an all around nice person.
Hogwarts Closing its Doors!
by Beonca Aims

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is closing its doors! This is due in part to the information age, with internet access just about everywhere, wickkipedia, Blackberries, cell phones, instant messaging services, and ipods (podcasts), the lessons one can learn at the school can be easier found elsewhere. Many of the current student body were skipping classes and spending more time hooked up electronically then actually leaving the dorms and sitting in the classrooms. Attendance was so far down, the teachers ended up doing more one-on-one teaching then standing in front of a classroom full of students, some never even left their offices and conducted the lessons there.
Its a sad day when even the cheerier professors started walking around in a gloom like Professor Snape, biting heads off and being rude. Professor Ripley was even heard to say, Shirelings, shmierlings, Professor Fairydust was seen with the most awful frown on her face, and even Professor Lockharts grin was fading. No one has heard from the Headmistress, rumor is she is locked in her office muttering over the attendance sheets and wailing loudly when she came to a name of a dear student she treasured. Its a sad day all around, but one that was coming sooner or later. So what will the professor do now? Its hard to say, someone thought they saw a certain tall, dark, and solemn one in Knockturn Alley checking out storefront property for rent, some dark shop to come in the near future? Hard to say, but this is what happens when complacency and laziness takes over. Word is there is a movement to save the school, but this might be too late, only time will tell.
Tourism in Hogsmeade!?!
By A Random Penshire

It is official. The quaint village of Hogsmeade that has for so long been a refuge for the wizarding people will soon no longer be a muggle-free zone. Although the wizarding community has so few places they can call strictly their own, Hogsmeade village will be one less just a few short months from now. The Ministry of Magic has announced that because they wish to lower magical tax rates and increase awareness in the muggle community that Hogsmeade will soon become an extravagant tourist attraction- a place for muggles to swarm and be entertained by blinking gizmo's and the sorts of things they define as "magic."

Because of the law and code of international secrecy, nearly all forms of real magic will need to be kept hidden in the village, although they are by no means banning magic altogether. They wish the muggles to see the village as it is, minus its true meaning and the real magic behind it all. Villagers who have lived in Hogsmeade for their whole lives are being evicted from their homes in order to make room for the muggles to stay when they wish to make their vacation an overnight trip.
A petition to stop this unbelievable act of self-debasement and cultural annihilation is currently available and is being sent to all residents and frequenters to the village, as well as all other wizarding personnel that can be contacted. If you would like more information or are interested in assisting the protest, stop by the Three Broomsticks any time of the day, and someone will always be on hand.
Diagon Alley Mall closed due to costs of leasing
by Faith Puppy

In recent their recent meeting, the Administrators have decided to close down the Diagon Alley Mall due to the cost of leasing. The Administrative board cannot keep up with the raised cost of leasing due to the budget and the deficit theyve been in ever since 2005. It has been reported that the deficit has reached five million galleons and if a plan wasnt put into action to slash the amount then all extra-curricular activities may be slashed from the school program.

Many students have been enraged by this new move and protest against it fiercely. Students have depended on the Diagon Alley for school supplies and other things they cannot find anywhere else. The place is popular from buying gifts for friends to getting supplies for school. The School Officers have been debating with the Administrative board about this action. The other options to slash the budget deficit had been to cancel Hogwarts language courses offered during the summer time or to cancel all school clubs.

An Administrator, who wishes to remain anonymous, says We hope to bring the budget down to one million galleons by the end of 2010 with the cut of the Diagon Alley Mall. It is unwise to keep the Diagon Alley Mall open since the price of leasing has gone up from 50 galleons to 70. Another Administrator comments Weve kept the interest of the students in our minds while deciding on this action, so we would appreciate it if students did not bombard us with owls.

There will be a Teacher Council meeting on April 1st to discuss alternative options to keep the Co-op shops up. Parents are welcome to attend this meeting. Students will be informed on the decisions on April 4th.
Hogwarts Express Derailed
By Ava Black

In devastating news, Hogwarts express was derailed on April 1st. The train is expected to be offline for many weeks and all homecomings are cancelled.
Professors at Hogwarts have prepared special exams to take place during what would normally be Spring Break to keep the students busy and out of trouble.
Students are hopeful that the train will be repaired and back up by the end of term. No date has been set as of press time.
Registration
By Ava Black
I have spoken to many students of the past month about registration. I decided to write a article to help you all understand the process. When you send in your registration, Cedric or I check to see that the vital information is included. This is mainly your email, house and full character name. Then we check to see if you have indicated you have your supplies. If you dont we reject the application and tell you to apply again once you do have your supplies. If everything is correct on your application we then post it in the Staff Lounge. It is then up to your prefects to check the thread and look in your locker to see if you have all your supplies. Once they do that they post that you are ready. Then Cedric or I send you out your response saying that you may begin your classes. This is a lengthy process. So please be patient with us while we go through the steps to approve you. If you have any questions or feel that it is taking entirely too long just pm one of us on the Bulletin Board and we will check things out for you. I hope this helps anyone that was wondering about registration!
Annex Building Torn Down!
By Another Random Penshire

It is with my deepest apologies that I regret to inform you, my fellow students of Hogwarts, of some shocking and utterly devastating news. The premises of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will be changed drastically at the end of this term. The Annex Building, which has been a vital part of the school for many years now, is scheduled to be demolished on June 14, 2007, at precisely 7:43 am.

You may have noticed that over the past few weeks pompous-looking people dressed in official-looking robes standing next to the Annex Building in deep conversation, looking very stern indeed. Or perhaps you saw the less-pompous-looking people dressed in more construction-like clothing taking measurements around the building and shaking their heads in a rather disappointed manner. The fact of the matter is, the ground upon which the Annex Building was first built has since proven to be highly unstable. Although the building has been reinforced with magic for the past few years, even the talents of our people cannot stop nature's will any longer. Leaving the building on this unstable ground for any period of time not only poses a threat to all students and faculty, but also threatens the ground upon which the entire castle itself sits. In the interest of all, it is best that this building go.

Our clubs will have to find another home; as will a few of our classes. There is plenty of space in the castle for them, but it will take work, and the presence of this special building will be sorely missed.
Shop Break In!
Beonca Aims

It was recently reported that Jacculas Jewelry & Gems was broken into over the holiday weekend. Only two items were taken, and luckily can be replaced, but clearly Jacculas upset. Vhat monster vould do this to me? Its not like my prices are outrageous. She said to no one in particular as she wrung a small black handkerchief in her delicate small pale hands.

The Ministry is sure it was done by delinquents, Most likely a couple of squibs as the door was forced open., said Magnus Munchhouse, this is what happens when magical folks have non-magical kids, no letter, no formal education, bah! Mr. Munchouse was clearly disgusted and quite opinionated regarding squibs.

Juccula, luckily, is covered by the Dunhollan & Masters Insurance Company, located in London, Diagon Alley. A spokesperson for D&M says that Jaccula will get a check for the full value of what was taken. They have also put up 10,000 Galleon reward for the capture and prosecution of those who perpetrated this crime, all tips be directed to Floo Network 91120

Professor gave us a couple updates during the week and most teams posted like crazy! Soon all had their very own Spam topic (now locked and deleted, boooo) with many posts/pages. After a bit of confusion, the War was said to end on the 12th of March. But Professor Simbi said that he thought doing AMAZING, and extended it for another week. And havoc continued. Post... post... post..

Well, the week passed and teams got many posts. Finally Professor Simbi gave us the exciting news.

BB Total: 41,433

Here are our standings then:
