The Convent of San Leor
During the time of the Reformation, some members of the Daughters of the
Emperor were sent back to San Leor. Their mission was to establish a small
outpost to safeguard their home planet. After Hive Fleet Behemoth was stopped
at the nearby system of Macragge, the Ecclesiarch ordered that the small
outpost at San Leor be made into a fortress that would be able to assist
nearby worlds from the Tyrannid threat or at the very least hold off another
hive fleet long enough to warn the rest of the Imperium. Thus the Order
of the Daughters of the Emperor was born.
Although it was not a convent in the same respects as the convents on Terra
and Ophelia VII, the fortress resembled (although slightly smaller in scale)
the huge fortress-monasteries of the Adeptus Astartes and from then on
was aptly named by the people as "the Convent of San Leor". Unlike the
other Orders however, the Daughters of the Merciful Emperor obtain most
of their new recruits from the orphans of the local inhabitants. Members
of the Order also maintain the same isolationist discipline as the other
Orders but it has also established a small school for children outside
the fortress in honor of the first Prioress of the Adepta Sororitas, Alicia
Dominica.  Pupils
of this school are taught by Veteran Sister Superiors of the Order who
also use this opportunity to keep close watch on the populace for any signs
of mutation or heresy. There is a prevalent belief among the people of
San Leor that Alicia Dominica is a distant relative of Angelica Dominica.
The armored uniform and vehicle paint scheme of Order follows the traditional
pure white habits of the original Daughters of the Emperor as a symbol
of purity and in remembrance of the origins of the Adepta Sororitas. The
only exception to this are the Immolator units which are painted jet black
for special missions. The First Company of the Daughters of the Emperor
is led by the Cannoness of the Order herself. It is composed mostly of
the elite members of the Order and is a fully mechanized force equipped
with the best flame and plasma weapons available. A female member of the
Eversor Temple is also assigned to the First Company as additional close
combat support. The standard battle configuration of the company is composed
