Sister Calista Stern

The current caretaker of the Order of the Daughters of the Emperor  is Cannoness Edith Calista Stern who is also a native of San Leor. She is revered among the members of the Order and is simply referred to as Sister Calista by the adoring people of San Leor. 

Sister Calista was but an orphan wandering the streets of the city when she was found by the previous Cannoness of the Order. In the beginning, many of her peers thought that she would never be worthy to join the ranks of the Battle Sisters because of her lack of discipline. But the old Cannoness had faith in her abilities and brought out the best in Sister Calista. Slowly at first, but quickly soon after, she gained the respect and admiration of her battle sisters as well as the people of San Leor in many acts of great courage and kindness. Before she became Cannoness, she had been a member of Seraphim Phalanx Aries and has fought in many bloody battles when the First Company was assigned to assist beleaguered Imperial forces during the invasion of Hive Fleet Kraken. 

Her unmatched martial skills complement her subtle cunning in the tactics of war. Just recently, she was awarded the highest honor given to any member of the Adepta Sororitas, a Rosarius from the Ecclesiarch himself.
