| Quilt Preparation |

| Proper quilt preparation is critical to the success of your machine quilting. Please follow the steps below |
| Do not pin, baste or tack your quilt |
| Identify the head of the quilt top and backing. |
| The backing and batting should be a minimum of 4" wider and 6" longer than the quilt top. |
| Quilt top and backing must be flat, square and no wavy edges. Quilting out excess fabric may result in puckers or pleats in your finished top and/or backing. Cost to square up quilt $10;cost to square up backing $10. |
| Please check for loose edges and seam breaks. Repairs $10/hour. |
| The quilt top and backing should be clipped of loose threads. |
| Top and backing should be pressed with seams open or to the darker fabric. Cost to press quilt top $10. Cost to press quilt backing $10. |
| We do not recommend sheets for backing. |
