This story may lack the drama and miraculous circumstances that some of our other ones have, but anytime we meet one of these legends, it is worth mentioning�
After meeting John Paul Jones outside of the Showbox theater in Seattle, Mike and I found ourselves in Portland the next day for the second of three JPJ gigs we were seeing on this trip. One day earlier, we had managed to get a couple of autographs and a photo with JPJ, so our mission this time was to get those photos autographed by the legendary Led Zeppelin bass player.
Following the show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, we headed back to the hotel John Paul Jones was staying that evening, the Westin.
This time, we actually met up with JPJ outside of the hotel while he was on his way back from the gig with one of his bandmates, Nick Beggs.
JPJ was happy to autograph our pictures from the night before and even posed for another picture with us.
