Food Days

Messages may be delayed during certain days that relate to food.

Postings are delayed on Jewish fast days, in which no food is eaten. These days include Tzom Gedaliah (the day after Rosh Hashanah), Asara BeTevet (a week after Chanukah), Taanit Esther (the day preceding Purim), Shiva Asar BeTammuz (near the beginning of the summertime), and Tisha BAv (three weeks after Shiva Asar BeTammuz).

They are also delayed on certain festive days in which a great deal of food is eaten including both Purim and the following day, Shushan Purim. This does not mean that we have decided that it is forbidden to send email during those days. It just means that we're so busy eating that we can't moderate the groups.
