Jewish Philanthropy helps benefactors and potential recipients make informed decisions. Jewish philanthropy is defined in the following manner:

  • The needs are for an organization designed to help Jews
    • This usually refers to a Jewish organization
    • This does not refer to a general organization that "also" helps Jews
  • The money will go to traditional Jewish causes
  • The benefactor or donor is interested in contributing to Jewish causes
  • The cause must be in full keeping with Jewish law - Halacha
