Jewish Med is intended for the following Jewish medical practitioners, after they have received the appropriate certification and licensing by their local authorities:

  • Jewish medical practitioners around the world
  • Non-Jewish medical practitioners who work with an observant Jewish population
  • Jewish dentists
  • Nurses who have completed their degree program
  • Midwives with nursing degrees
  • Jewish medical researchers
  • Jewish instructors of medicine and related topics
  • Jewish psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and psychologists (although they should also join the Jewish Psych forum)
  • Jewish professionals in health-related fields
  • Jewish professionals in preventive medicine
  • Jewish students doing medical residency or medical internships
  • Senior phamaceutical professionals
  • Senior administrative professionals in Jewish hospitals or clinics
  • Jewish professionals in specific medical fields, such as podiatry, pediatrics, internal medicine, or gastroenterology
  • Mohels (Jews involved in ritual circumcisions)
  • Rabbis who specialize in Jewish medicine or treatment

Those involved in alternative medicine may join the group as observers, but will not be part of the discussions themselves.
