Aver means over or beyond. Ivri is someone who is on the other side. Ivrit is the language spoken by those on the other side of the water – the Jews.

Today's Hebrew is the natural continuation of the ancient Holy Tongue that was spoken by our Biblical forefathers. This language has been revived in the modern State of Israel, and it is now spoken by Israelis, Israeli expatriates, and many other Jews around the world.

Our Ivrit group studies Hebrew as an eternal, Jewish language.
