The siding is going on now and it is about half way up on all sides. See picture page 4 for those pictures.  It appears that the brick will start to go on tomorrow as the mixer and the mortar sand is in front of the house now.  It won't be long before the outside is done.

They have started to put the brick on but the brick face appears to not have a good quality control on this batch of bricks as can be seen on the
picture of the brick.  The majority of it looked good but certain sections were showing red and we ordered Arctic White. So far have not heard what will be done.  No more was done on the siding due to the rain the last few days.

     The
brick layers continue and they have assured me that when they wash off the bricks that they will be all ok and the red will come off.  I hope they are correct.  Another layer of mud has gone on the drywall.

Commercial Federal called to have me check on the interest rates and we locked in at a very good 5.875%  This will go a long way toward keeping the costs down for the monthly payments.

What a day it was today.  Calls from everyone for closing on the 24th.  NO WAY.  Well a long story short it was the wrong Sorensen file that was pulled, and it was all taken care of in the end.  Called several individuals about getting insurance for the home, with some good luck and others not so good.  Will decide by next week.  Met some of the other neighbors tonight.  They are young but they are very friendly.

I could not sleep at night so I got up and drove to Lincoln to see what the house looked like at night.  There was some light in the back yard but not too much.  It will be okay once Lee's closes each night.

The carpenters doing the woodwork and hanging the doors were there and they had several doors done and much of the woodwork trim around the doors completed.  They did not have the French door hung and they were not aware that there was to be a French door with glass panes.

We received a call from Schaefers Appliance store and they are to deliver the appliances on the 16th to the home, so that was an expense that had to be paid before they would deliver it.

We have purchased the insurance for the house and transferred the car insurance to the same insurance company to receive a discount for car insurance for the year. The appliances have been delivered to the house.  The majority of the doors are hung, the woodwork trim and molding is mostly done and tomorrow the painter is arrive to paint and stain all the wood.
We had a small scare today as Candi had called and said that the carpet we had selected is no longer being manufactured and that I needed to go to Carpetland to pick out other carpeting.  As it turned out they had a complete roll of our carpeting in stock but it is going to be discontinued so ours will be the last of this carpet.
I went to Menards and bought the mail box and post which I will be installing this weekend if the weather cooperates.
