Pictures & Stories
We wanted to share some stories about Bumper to show everyone how adorable she was and all the cute things she used to do.  She had such a spirit and was so full of life, and she always wanted to make us happy which she showed in everything she did.  The stories below are only some of the things that she did, but are the most memorable to us.
Bumper a few months after we got her.
We got Bumper when she was approximately 3 months old, she was with two other bunnies but for some reason we were just drawn to her.  We still to this day don't know exactly what it was that made us decide on her, but there was some connection there that just made the decision so easy.  When we got her home she was very nervous which we expected so we gave her some time to adjust.  Eventually we let her out of her cage to explore the room and at first she didn't want to leave the cage.  So I set up a box on the floor, picked her up and put her in the box - then she didn't want out of the box!  She eventually did but only took a few steps away from the box, sniffing around like crazy, and then would turn around and go right back into the box.  We did this every day, and each time she would go about an inch farther than she had previously and before you knew it she took over the whole room!  We then had to bunny proof the entire room for her safety because she wanted to get into everything as any bunny would.
The Impy-Playful Bumper
Before we knew it Bumper was doing "Binkies" all over the room and declared everything in the room hers!  She was obsessed with feet for some reason, she loved to sniff your feet and then she would rub her chin on your toes to "scent" them.  We used to say that she was declaring them in the name of Bumper.
Sleepy Bumpy
We layed out a sleeping bag on the floor one day and realized that Bumper loved it, I think she felt more secure running around on that so of course the sleeping bag stayed.  We used to have to tuck it into the mattress of the bed because if not she would chew it!  But she loved laying right at the end of the bed where it was tucked in, and most of the time that's where our feet were when we were sitting on the bed watching tv.  She loved to be close to us no matter what - if we sat on the floor she'd stay on the floor and if we were on the bed she jumped up onto the bed.  We tried to stop her at first from going up onto the bed because one of the first time she did she peed on it!!  But she insisted on going up there anyway and loved it up there so how could we say no.

One time when I was there I had a headache and layed down for a nap.  She was running around the room and as soon as she noticed that I was on the bed she jumped up there to investigate.  She started at my feet and smelled all around me.  As soon as I woke up she jumped right down.  I'd fall asleep again and she'd jump right back up.  This happened a few times, and even though I wanted to sleep so bad I was getting such a kick out of her.  Before I knew it she made it all the way up to my head while I was sleeping and I woke up to her grooming the top of my head which I thought was the absolute cutest thing.  Everytime I thought of that afterwards I got tears in my eyes because it made me so very happy - she was the cutest little thing when she did that.
Bumper in part of her cage
She was such a quick learner and was so very smart!!  Right when it was time to go to bed, Tim would shut his computer down and say "Bumper, cage".  It took her a few times but before you knew it Tim just had to say that and she would run full speed ahead right into her cage no matter what she was doing.  Then after a while she actually learned the sound of the computer shutting down and when she heard that she would run into her cage immediatly knowing that it was time for bed.  But if I was the one sitting in front of the computer and I did it she wouldn't move.  She knew it was only when Tim was at the computer, it was night time and the computer was shutting down and that's when she'd run into her cage.

Other times if it was the afternoon and he was going out and had to put her in her cage he would just have to say "Bumper, cage" and she would go right into her cage.  But she knew when he meant business and when she had time to play.  If he was in a rush, she detected it somehow and would run immediatly into her cage no matter where she was or what she was doing.  But other times when he wasn't in a rush she would make him chase her around the room playfully, never running fast enough for him to think that she was actually running away from him but fast enough for him to just barely catch her.  She loved to play and she loved to make you smile.
My favorite picture of her
I had a personal thing with her that I called "Bunny Kisses".  It started when she was young and she'd be in her cage for the night to sleep and I'd open up the top and lean in to say goodnight to her and I'd say bunny kisses as I was leaning all the way down into her cage sticking my face right into her area.  She was only curious at the time probably wondering why I was all up in her face and she would stand up sniffing around me, and as she was sniffing I'd put my nose to hers and make kissing noises.  Eventually she got to know that and all I'd have to say was "bunny kisses" and she'd stand right up and put her nose to mine, wiggle her nose as I made kissing noises.  Then slowly she started doing it outside of her cage as well.  Just recently I changed it a bit and started actually giving her a kiss on the top of her forehead and after a while she got to know that and instead of going nose to nose with me, when I said "bunny kisses" she would lean up and put her forehead towards me so that I could give her a kiss. All I would have to say was "bunny kisses" and she knew exactly what I wanted - and she was happy to do it to make me happy!
