Chapter 4

�I�m not. I know I�m protective of her, but your one of my best friends. And you know if you hurt her, you�ll be dealing with me.� Jacob said while looking at me seriously.

�I know dude. I promise you I won�t hurt her. I�m not that kind of guy.� I said while walking out the door. I then turned around.

�This is my room so if I leave so do you!� I said to Jacob, who laughed and followed me downstairs.

�Look if you want to be more then friends with her, you better act fast. She�s leaving soon.� Jacob said while sitting on the couch. I was happy Jacob was helping me. He knew her inside out.

�Your right. Thank you Jacob for letting me do this.� I said and he nodded his head and I went up to her room. Janie saw me and left. I smiled at her as she walked by me. I sat down on her bed and so did she.

�Look I need to ask you something.� I said to her and she nodded her head.

�The two of us have gotten really close this past little while. So I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go our for dinner tonight.� I said to her.

�You mean like a date?� She asked me, wanting me to say it.

�Yes I mean a date. I think that we both trust each other very much and we both want to be more then friends. Right?� I said to her and she started laughing.

�Yes very much so. What time are we going tonight?� She asked me.

�6 o�clock. That�ll give you enough time to get ready.� I said to her while getting off her bed.

�Can you tell Janie to come up here and help me get ready?� She asked me, while grabbing my arm. I smiled at her and nodded my head.

Alexis�s point of view.

�Oh my God sis! Your going on a date with Erik?� She asked me, while hugging me.

�Yes! And you need to help me get ready. So take a deep breath and help me.� I said and she let go of me.

Chapter 5

The night of the dinner. Alexis�s point of view.

�Sis you look beautiful.� Janie said while looking at me. I was wearing a long blue jean skirt, a white tank top and a beige sweater, which goes down to me knees. On my feet was a pair of black high-heeled loafers. My hair was in soft curls. Janie did my make up. I grabbed my purse and walked down the stairs to find Erik waiting. He smiled at me. He grabbed my hand and we walked out to his car. He opened my door and I got in. We went in the restaurant. The whole night we talked and became even closer.

�I had a really great time. I want to do this again. Soon.� I said to Erik, while holding his hand. He smiled and nodded his head.

�Me too. I feel like I can tell you everything.� Erik said, while looking into my eyes. We sat down on a log.

�Are you ready to date a famous person?� Erik said, still holding my hand.

�Yes, very much so. I�m going to get a job here in Orlando so I�ll be closer to you.� I said to him and we both got up. We walked to the door. We leaned in and gave each other a passionate kiss. We would�ve held the kiss longer, but Janie opened the door.

�Sorry guys.� Janie said and closed the door. Erik and I smiled at each other and he opened the door. I gave him another kiss and went up to my room. Janie was lying on her bed and Jacob was here too. They noticed me.

�Look you guys can continue with that. I�m going to bed.� I said, with a big grin on my face.

�I guess that big grin means you had a good time?� Jacob asked me.

�Yah. I�m also going to move to Orlando and get a job here. I know that my boss can transfer me to work at an Old Navy here.� I said and hopped into bed.

�Ok well then I�m moving here too. I need you sis. So we�ll get an apartment and live together.� Janie said, while pushing Jacob off her bed. He laughed and went into his room.

A few months later. Alexis�s point of view.

�Erik wake up.� I said to Erik, who was going to be late for dance rehearsal. He moaned.

�Alexis don�t make me get up. It�s too early to get up.� Erik said while rubbing his eyes and putting his blanket over his head.

�Mr. Estrada, if you don�t get up now, I won�t kiss you for a whole week.� I said while getting of off Erik�s bed. He pulled his blanket off his head.

�No kissing? I�m up. I couldn�t live a whole minute without kissing you, never mind a whole week.� Erik said while going into his drawers and pulling out some old clothes. Jacob came up to his room.

�Erik your up?� Jacob said to him in shock. I laughed.

�My girl here blackmailed me.� Erik said while putting his arms around my waist and kissing me on the nose.

�Well done Lex. I�m proud of you. Now hurry up and throw those clothes on.� Jacob said while rolling his eyes.

�Ok.� Erik said, and started to take off his shirt in front of Jacob and I.

�Not here. Actually Lex and I will leave. You have 2 minutes to get in the car, or else the O-Town bus leaves without you.� Jacob said, and grabbed my hand.

Everyone got in the car, and Erik came running down a minute later. He sat beside me.

Chapter 6

At the end of dance practise.

�Ok what we were planning on doing is working all the time on dance moves for the songs. Ok well that�s it. Don�t forget tomorrow is the MTV Music Awards. Dates are allowed.� Mike Morin said while looking at the guys. The guys grabbed their water bottles and we got in the car.

�So Janie you�re still coming tomorrow right?� Jacob asked her.

�Yes I am. Wouldn�t miss it for the world.� Janie said while looking at Jacob. Erik moved closer to me and put his lip near my ear.

�I was wondering of you wanted to come tomorrow?� Erik whispered into my ear while holding my hand.

�I would love to.� I said. He kissed me.

The next night. Alexis�s point if view.

�Janie this is not working!� I said while looking at myself in the mirror.

�The dress looks so nice on.� Janie said to me, while standing beside me.

�It doesn�t look right.� I said still looking at myself.

�Oh be quiet Lex. You look hot!� Janie said and rolled her eyes. Once the two of us were ready, we went into the limo. Erik and Jacob were outside the limo to help us in.

Well I�m not really going to tell you much about the Award show. O-Town won a few awards.

Back in San Diego- Joey�s point if view

�And here comes O-Town and it seems like Jacob and Erik have dates. We now going to interview them, and find out who these lovely ladies are.� The announcer said. I had no idea why I was watching this.

�Hello O-Town. My 1st question is who are these lovely ladies?� The announcer said.

�Well this is my long time girlfriend Janie Thomas.� The guy with the dreads said and they showed Janie. �I knew she would be there.� I said to myself.

�And this is my girlfriend Alexis Thomas. Their sisters.� The guy with the shaved head said. They then showed�ALEXIS! As in my ex-girlfriend Alexis.

�I have to call her and find out what the hell is going on.� I said very loudly. My mom heard me and looked at my funny.

�What are you talking about?� My mom said to me. I was too angry to answer. I just decided to watch the dumb award show. As the night went on the show got very boring. Then O-Town won their 1st award.

�1st off, we would like to thank God. 2nd we would like to thank our families and everyone who�s supported us. Thank you to all the people who work with us, mostly Mike and Mike! I�d also like to thank the one person who for the past little while has kept me grounded. Alexis. I love you baby. Also last but not least, thank you to the fans!� The guy with the shaved head said. By this time I was angrier! He even thanked her in his dumb speech!

Chapter 7

The next day- Alexis�s point if view

I was lying in bed when my cell phone rang. It was right on my bed stand so I grabbed it and said hello, wondering who was calling me this early.

�It�s me, Joey. What the hell were you doing at the award show with that weird guy?� He asked me very loudly.

�That�s none of your business!� I said, getting angry. I was trying to be quiet because Erik was sleeping in the bed beside me, which normally Janie sleeps in.

�Tell me now Alexis!� Joey said, louder then before.

�Joey what the hell do you think I was doing with him?� I said, also louder then before.

Erik�s point if view

I started to hear Alexis yelling so I opened my eyes, but she didn�t notice. I was wondering whom she was talking to so early in the morning.

Alexis�s point if view

�Don�t raise you voice like that to me! Now answer the question!� Joey said. My face was probably very red.

�Joey my question for you is, why do you even car? Yes Erik is my boyfriend and I love him very much. So now you answer my question.� I said, getting very annoyed by Joey.

�I care because I still love you and I know you still love me too, not this new guy.� Joey said, calming down.

�Joey what the hell are you talking about? You dumped me. I didn�t dump you. So don�t say you still love me. And I will never love you again. I love Erik. And he�s not some new guy. I�ve been dating him for 5 months.� I said, about to hang up on Joey.

�Well soon you�ll realize you love me. And then you�ll come crawling back to me.� Joey said and hung up. My eyes were filled with tears. I put my head in my hands and felt Erik put his arms around me.

�Baby it�s ok. Look Joey is dumb.� He said still hugging me. I took my head off my hands.

�You knew it was Joey?� I asked him.

�I heard you yelling so I opened my eyes.� Erik said. I think he thought I was mad, but I wasn�t.

�I�m not mad. I�m happy. Now I don�t have to explain the whole thing to you.� I said.

�Well ok. But if he calls again don�t answer.� Erik said and kissed me on the lips. Then Janie and Jacob walked in.

�Alexis!� Janie said very loudly. I looked over and I was wondering why she was yelling.

�What?� I asked while looking at her weird.

�So now you two are sleeping together?� Janie asked me while looking angry.

�Janie he slept in your bed. Joey just called me and told me he still loved me but I told him he didn�t love me cause he broke up with-� I was rambling on and I realized I let it slip.

�What! Joey dumped you? Ok Alexis I�m lost.� Janie said while sitting beside me. Erik knew I had to tell her so he left.

�Ok well I lied to you Janie. I told you that Joey and I mutually agreed to break up, but we didn�t.� I said, while looking at Janie. I knew she would be upset.

�You mean you lied to me?� Janie said looking upset.

�Janie I�m so sorry. I just didn�t want you to feel sorry for me.� I said while looking at the ground.

Chapter 8

�Well that�s my job. I�m your older sister, but I�m also your best friend. Now come here.� Janie said and gave me a hug. I laughed.

�Thank you for not being angry.� I said and Jacob walked in.

�Look Janie I�m going back to my house.� He said and gave her a kiss. He just walked by me like I wasn�t there. Once he left I got up and ran out the door.

�Jacob are you mad at me?� I asked, while stepping in front of him.

�Look why did Joey dump you?� Jacob asked me.

�Because he wanted to�� I was going to tell him but I got scared. I ran back inside my apartment. Erik was sitting on the couch and I ran over to him. I started to cry.

�Baby what�s wrong? Erik asked me while rubbing my back.

�I�m scared to tell Jacob why Joey broke up with me.� I said in between sobs.

�Why are you scared?� Erik asked, still rubbing my back.

�Because he�ll get angry. I don�t want him to do anything to Joey.� I said while looking into Erik�s eyes. I looked into them and could tell he really cared about me.

�I can understand that. He was your first love, but you need to tell him� Erik said and then kissed me on the lips. I smiled and nodded my head.

�You�re the best boyfriend a girl could ask for!� I said and got up and went back outside. I ran out the main doors and found Jacob about to get in his car.

�Jake wait!� I said and ran over to him.

�Joey broke up with me because he wanted to take our relationship to the next level and I didn�t.� I said, very happy I said it right. Jacob looked pissed.

�That guy is going to pay for what he did to you!� Jacob said and I grabbed his arm.

�No Jacob. Just leave the past in the past. Please Jacob. I don�t want to have to deal with him again.� I said and he nodded his head.

�You have my word. I�ll leave the past in the past. I love you Lex.� Jacob said, and gave me a hug.

�I love you too, Jake.� I said, still hugging him. He smiled and got in his car.

Chapter 9

A few months later- Alexis�s point of view

Over the past few months nothing really happened. Joey hadn�t called since that day and I was more in love with Erik. A

�Wake up sleepy head.� I said to Erik. He opened his eyes and smiled.

�It�s our 1 year anniversary! Happy anniversary Lex!� Erik said and pulled me on top of him.

�I love you so much Erik!� I said and got off of him. He followed me to the kitchen.

�Here�s my gift for you Erik.� I said and handed him a bracelet that had our names engraved on it.

�Baby it�s beautiful. Let me go get my gift.� Erik said and went into my room. A few seconds later he came out. Erik then got down on 1 knee.

�Alexis you mean so much to me. I know that you�re the one. Alexis Thomas, will you marry me?� Erik said, still down on 1 knee.

�I can�t!� I said and ran out the door crying.
