| More Reasons to Hate PETA! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| So PETA wants you to maintain an unnatural and unhealthy diet for the sake of animals, but they don't mention the thousands of little critters killed in grain harvesting machines. What about the field mice PETA?! And the woodchucks, skunks, snakes, frogs, toads, insects and many others. What about them? Are insects not animal enough for you PETA? Did you know that things like peanut butter and Jelly are allowed to have so many insect pieces per jar? Yummy, eat up those bugs vegans, eat 'em and enjoy it! I don't deny the fact that when I eat, something dies. And I'm okay with that. It's the circle of life people, haven't you ever seen The Lion King? I will continue to eat delicious cows and chickens. And their eggs and milk. It sure is yummy. But away from the food subject. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Another thing PeTA needs to stop giving people the wrong idea about is medical testing. PeTA supporters have said that even if animal research provided a cure for AIDS, they would still be against it. Okay then. Well I hope they don't know or care about anyone who has or have had the flu, heart disease, HIV or AIDS, cancer, a cold, Parkinson's, M.S., Chicken Pox, Small Pox, Polio, measles, kidney disease, appendicitis, diabetes, rabies, malaria, ....etc. etc. etc. I also hope they have never had any vaccine of any kind. The extremely large majority of treatments and cures for diseases have been created, perfected, or tested on animals. Even the process of taking blood pressure. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| What exactly is wrong with humane medical testing on animals? It's not like they have tiny rooms crammed full of animals that they go into and torture them.Okay sure it can be a little unsettling to think about the animals having drugs put into their system. But they aren't tortured and most of the time, they aren't harmed by the drugs at all. now if youd like to volunteer to have drugs tested on you be my guest. PETA claims that testing on cells is enough why don't we do that instead? Well guess what PETA, single cells unattached to an organism do not develop side effects or show possible allergies. They already perform test on cells, before they go to the animals. PETA, learn somethign about what you're protesting for once will you? The American Federal Drug Administration requires all medicinal drugs to be tested first on cells, then on animals, followed by human patients. The human test are what you see people in movies getting into, the drug trials. Animal tests are controlled experiments using rats, mice, cats, dogs, or monkeys. They are not tortured, they are handled very carefully and quite often with a little extra friendliness. I have been in a lab where tests are performed and seen the animals. The dogs wag their tails when people walk in the room and guess what, the technicians pet the dogs and talk to them as they would someone's pet. They are not treated cruelly. If you've seen PETA's video about covance, sadly you have seen what can happen but rarely does. Others in the field do not approve of that company's behavior at all. The company was formally charged by the government, I do not know the exact results but I do know they had to face consequences. But again, what happened there is a rarity, not a majority. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Of course PETA wouldn't want you to know that. They also wouldnt dare tell you that this research is highly beneficial to animals. WHAT?! Yeah, thats what I said, it helps animals too. Hope they don't have pets that have needed vetrinary care, even anti-flea treatment. But wait, if they do, they go against what PeTA says. Thats right, PeTA says no one should have any pets...ever. Well gee, now if they're helping animals too don't you think that maybe they might change their mind? Of course not, they think that every lab is like the one owned by Covance which they busted. That is completely false. They also don't seem to understand that the research not only helps domestic animals like cats and dogs, but wild animals including those that are endangered. Horses as well. Surgeries and other medical procedures are also tested and used on animals. In fact a sugery for cruciate ligament injuries is performed 5 times more on dogs than humans in the US while there are 5 times more humans than dogs living here. Hmmmm. And if the dogs didnt have the surgery? Euthanized or crippled for the rest of their lives. Now PETA, is that what you wish on these poor dogs? How about the ones who have had heart sugery or breast cancer? Cats with feline leukemia, diabetes or kidney disease? I kid you not, it is all true. These dieases occur in our animal friends and animal research saves their lives. But you won't find that on any of PETA's websites. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| So I told you about why PeTA's views don't make sense. How about the fact that they kill innocent animals? Two PeTA employees were caught throwing the bodies of cats and dogs, including young puppies, into a grocery store's dumpster. Why? They took these animals from owners who could no longer provide an ideal home. Believeing PeTA wouls find them healthy and loving homes, PeTA didn't even leave site of the residences in their vans before they killed them. I know that's an animal rights organization I want to support, one that kills innocent, adoptable animals. So I guess, they don't want you to have pets so they're just going to kill every one they can get their hands on? Very classy PeTA, really tells us something about your values.
