My Own Little World
 

 

Hi there, I'm Ashleigh, the third oldest kid in my family.  Like most other 6 year olds I'm certain I'm getting bigger every day...at least my mom says so.  I'm very headstrong and like to argue alot.  But I'm also very outgoing and love to act cute just to get attention, in fact, acting silly is probably my favorite pastime because it makes people laugh.

I spend my days in school now, but still have the chance to see my little sister at recess.  I love to act like a little mommy when it comes to my Meaghan.  I love to show my baby sister how to do things the way my brothers do them.  See she is smaller than me so I get to show her all kinds of neat stuff like how to read and count.

Of course I'm still trying to pick up neat tricks from my older brothers too,  Like, I've found out that my oldest brother knows how to spell some really hard words, so when its homework time I love to sit down with him and try writing too (even tho I don't know cursive writing yet).  I'm actually getting pretty good with my vocabulary.  I also try to get involved in everything the others are doing, even when it includes cleaning up the house just  to be able to know what's going on and to feel a little bit older than I am.

I really like being part of such a big family, I always make sure I say bye-bye to my parents on their way to work, and when they come home in the afternoon I get all excited and go running to meet them at the door.  I really like my daddy too, I'm always hanging all over him (literally). I love giving hugs and kisses too...almost as much as I like getting them.

Some of my favorite things to do are trying to read and watching movies with my sister.  I spend alot of time with my baby dolls too.  And at bed time I really like to sneak into Meaghan's bed so that she has to sleep in mine.
