Chapter Four of the wonderful story by Cardiff, Sailor Saiyajins and Z-Scouts

"What kind of camera is that?"

Trunks looked down at the camera he held, his finger still covering the shutter button. "Kaasan built it." He looked up at Goten who was staring at the five girls across from them. They were staring back. One of the girls, whose mouth had been hanging open for quite some time, stuttered, "I m-must be dr-dreaming."

"Goten," Trunks said uncertainly, "I'm pretty sure this isn't a dream. I mean, I'm awake, right?"

"I dunno," Goten replied. "I think I remember waking up this morning, and I was pretty hungry, too--unless," he snapped his fingers, "unless this is one of those dreams where you dream that you woke up, but you really didn't wake up, and you're still dreaming, but you think you're not dreaming, and you really are--"

"I must be dreaming!" the girl who had spoken earlier cried. "Because you're Goten--"

"How did you know my name?!" Goten shouted in disbelief.

"I said your name earlier, remember?" Trunks said.

"Oh, right, Trunks," Goten said with a note of relief. "Well . . . I bet you don't what his name is!" He pointed at Trunks.

"TRUNKS!" the girl shouted in unison with two others.

"He already said my name," Trunks stated.

"I know," Goten said in awe. "They're cute and smart!"

Trunks smeared his hand down his face. "Goten, these girls just appeared out of nowhere in the place where our dads, Kuririn, Piccolo, and your brother should be. Who knows what they are? They could be evil villains, stronger than Majin Buu! Even though they are rather hot, we need to be cautious. Don't let your guard down." He looked up to see Goten, following his hormone-driven instincts, bowing to the girls.

"Konnichi wa, my name is Goten, as you seem to know, Son Goten; so what're you chicks' names?"

They blushed furiously for a moment until the one talking before blurted, "Tsukino Usagi!"

Another one said, "Aiko Minako!"

The tallest girl joined in shyly, "I'm Kino Makoto."

A girl with long, black hair whacked Usagi upside the head and shouted, "Baka no Usagi! These guys could be from the Negaverse or Negamoon rebels or some other evil! Don't just give away all your personal information!"

Usagi laughed and waved her hand dismissively. "Baka no Rei! They're not from the Negamoon; they're Goten and Trunks, the totally hunky half-Saiyajins from Dragon Ball Z, and thank God they're from Z and not GT!" She turned to the befuddled boys. "A word of advice, don't change your looks, you know, mainly your hair, don't change 'em if the opportunity comes in a few years."

Trunks looked at Goten. "If they're so innocent, how'd they know about the balls?"

"Huh? Whose balls?" Goten asked, confused.

"The dragon balls, you idiot!"

"Huh? I didn't know dragons had-ohhhhhh, you mean the dragon balls."

"Riiiiiiight. They said something like 'dragon ballsey'. They obviously know something about the dragon balls."

"Ohhhhhh. Riiiiiiight."

"Of course I know about the dragon balls," Usagi said smugly.

"We," Minako said, still blushing.

Usagi continued, "I--we've seen the entire Dragon Ball series. It's the best anime of all time! And we're in it! This is so totally awesome!"

"Anime?" Trunks said in confusion.

"Slightly crazy but cute," Goten said, eyeing the girls.

Something suddenly hit Trunks. "Ow. . . . What did you say your name was? Usagi?" He snapped his fingers. "I know! You're from that anime my little sister watches, Sailor Moon!"

"Wow!" Usagi cried. "I'm in my own show? Me, the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon?" Rei smacked her. "Ouch!--I mean, I'm not Sailor Moon! No way, not me!"

"Of course," Trunks said, ignoring her. "You're Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon; Hino Rei, Sailor Mars; Aiko Minako, Sailor Venus; Kino Makoto, Sailor Jupiter; and Mizuno Ami, Sailor Mercury," he suddenly slapped himself, "Oh my God, I memorized all that."

"You forgot Sailor Pluto, the guardian of time," Goten said.

"How did you know that? Wait a minute, the other day in class, I saw you reading a manga instead of the textbook. It was the Sailor Moon manga, wasn't it!" Trunks said.

Goten blushed. "Well, at least I don't watch the anime with my little sister!"

"At least I haven't been hitting on the Sailor Senshi for the last fifteen minutes, and you would watch the anime if you had a little sister!"

"And your point is?!"

"Is that proof for you, Usagi? They have to be evil to know all that!" Rei exclaimed.

"Ahem," Ami said suddenly. "If the author would let me speak once in a blue moon," somewhere in a different dimension, a half-Saiyajin girl with a notebook sneezed, "I may have a theory for what's happened, and I don't think they're," she nodded in Trunks and Goten's direction, "evil."

Usagi patted Ami on the back. "Woohoo! That's my Ami! She knows good-hearted cute guys when she sees 'em!"

"As I was say--"

"Excuse me," said a voice, "but I know what happened."

"Dende-sama!" Trunks and Goten exclaimed at once. "Where have you been?"

The Namek smiled. "I have been watching what happened to them."

"Wow, really?" Goten asked.

"Being the guardian of Chikyuu has its advantages." Dende smiled again. He walked over to the Sailor Senshi. "Mamoru was acting strangely when you left, ne?"

Ami started up, "Hai, I was going to point that out before you--"

"Interrupted you," Dende finished. "Gomen nasai, It will never happen again."

"Okay--"

"I felt an evil force within Mamoru. He was acting strangely because an evil being has possessed him, or someone has gotten rid of him and taken his form," Dende interrupted.

Ami began, "Poor Mamo--"

"No way! Not my Mamo-chan!" Usagi cried. "He gave me a present."

"He gave you the camera that brought you here. He, or at least what seemed to be him, built the camera. He meant for it to simply leave you floating out in space when he took your picture, but something went wrong."

"Well, what happened to Tousan?" Trunks asked.

"I'm getting there."

"Oh!" Ami cried. "I know what went wrong. You," she walked over to Trunks, "are holding a camera."

Trunks looked down at the camera in his hands. "Well, aren't you smart."

"And you said something earlier about your fathers disappearing and us taking their place. You just took a picture of them, didn't you?"

Trunks and Goten nodded.

"It must have been right when Mamoru took our picture, and that somehow transported both of us between worlds, which means someone in your world, whoever built the camera probably, is also--"

"Hey Trunks," Goten said, "didn't you say your mom--"

"No way! Not Okaasan!" Trunks suddenly stopped and saw everyone was staring at him. Suddenly it him. Geez, who keeps hitting me?!--I mean, I reacted in the same Usagi did, he thought. He shook his head and stepped back a bit.

Ami began, "I'm sorry, but your--"

"You're correct and very clever," Dende complimented. "The evil being in this world and the one in yours took photographs at the same time and you were transported between worlds instead of being left out in space."

"Okay, you completely lost me here," Goten said and rubbed his head.

"Baka author's probably lost everyone," Trunks grumbled. Something hit him, hard, only this time it didn't spark any ideas. Trunks rubbed his head. "Okay, I'm sorry!"

"Uh, Trunks, who are you talking to?" Goten asked. Trunks looked around. Everyone was staring at him questioningly.

"Eh, heh heh..."

"Anyway, why would someone want to leave me out in space?" Usagi interrupted.

"World domination?" Minako suggested, relieved the author finally thought of something for her to say. (I'm just upsetting everyone today, aren't I? ^-^)

"Right," Dende said, "and the same with Goku-tachi. With these two groups out of the way, all evil is free to take over."

"But if we're not in our universe right now and neither are the Z-Senshi, than evil is free to take over," Makoto said, also relieved to speak.

Goten laughed, finally catching on. "Tousan's there, and he's the strongest man in the universe!"

"Then what about our world?" Trunks said. "There's no way the Sailor Scouts could handle what attacks us. Me and Goten would be able to hold them off, of course . . ."

"We also have a problem besides the fact that our enemies are much stronger than what they're used to in Tokyo," Dende said.

Makoto stepped forward and said, "Oh yeah? You wanna see how strong we--"

Dende continued, "If Goku started flying around and firing ki blasts, the people in Tokyo would go nothing short of ballistic."

"Actually, they'd probably think those guys are evil, since the villains are the only ones that can fly," Rei stated matter-of-factly.

"I have a solution for that," Dende said. "I sent Popo to find the dragon balls. When he finds all seven, our wish will be to copy the powers of the Sailor Soldiers into the Z-Senshi and vice versa. The Z-Senshi will be able to transform into Sailor Senshi. The Sailors will control their ki. This is beneficial for both worlds because citizens of Tokyo would not panic, and the Sailors will be a little more suited to fight the evil that attacks this world."

"You can do that?" Goten asked, dumbfounded.

"How the heck did you think of that so quickly?" Trunks asked, also dumbfounded.

"You mean Goku-tachi are going to become Sailor Senshi . . . and we're going to become Z-Senshi?" Usagi inquired.

"Yes."

"Sugoi!"

All right, I know that was a pretty long and monotonous chapter with mostly just people speaking, but I needed to explain what happened in the previous chapters while at the same time getting to the good part of the story (Z guys become Sailor Senshi and vice versa :). You've probably noticed somewhat of a pattern by now, and the next chapter will start out with the Z-Senshi after first ariving in the SM world.
