"Come in, come in," Leeann welcomed. Rowen, Hiro, and Duo stepped into her house. "You guys can sit anywhere, just get comfortable," she continued as she waved her hand around the room. Rowen sat on the floor, his back resting on the wall. Duo flopped into a beanbag. Hiro leaned against a wall.
"Okay!" Leeann said as she sat on the edge of her bed. "Im Leeann, and Ill be your psychiatrist. I dont think youve met, well, not all of you."
Duo caught her drift. He extended his right hand to Rowen, saying, "Hi. Im Duo." Rowen shook his hand. Duo looked over his shoulder. "And thats Hiro."
"My name is Rowen."
"Good! Now, this is important: we have an hour here and thats it. Then you have to leave, got it?" Leeann instructed. Rowen nodded. Duo shrugged.
"Hiro? You got it?" Leeann called.
Hiro responded, "I heard you."
"Man, when was the last time that guy relaxed and had fun?" Duo sighed.
"Is he always like that?" Rowen asked.
"Yup. As long as Ive know him, hes never acted differently."
Leeann questioned, "Hey, Duo, can I ask you some stuff?" She was laying on her stomach with a notebook and pen in front of her.
"Sure, what dya wanna ask me?"
"Well, for one thing," Leeann started as she wrote "DUO" at the top of the page, "does being a Gundam pilot ever get in the way of your social life?"
Duo looked at the ceiling and blew air out of the corner of his mouth. After a pause, he said, "Youd know it has to. Think about it: you cant really go watch a movie with some chicks or go to dances when youve got to fight. Im not sure I really regret my decision to be a Gundam pilot, though. Fightings just a second nature to me, and I feel like Im fighting for a good cause because Im fighting for what I believe in."
"Oh, how romantic! Do you have a girlfriend?" Leeann asked, looking very interested.
"Hilde and I have been really close friends for a long time. If shed accept the title of my girlfriend, I guess she would be."
Leeann looked disappointed. "Oh, okay, cool. Could you get me a Pepsi from that fridge over there?" She pointed to the other side of the room.
"Sure." He got up and walked to the refrigerator.
"Leeann, can I ask you something?" Rowen inquired as he, Leeann, and Hiro watched Duo open the door to the refrigerator.
Leeann distractedly replied, "Yeah, sure," as she pulled a camera out of her pocket.
"Why can we only stay here an hour?"
"The others are coming then. GOTCHA!" she yelled as her flash went off.
Duo stopped digging though the contents of the fridge and looked around, asking, "What was that?"
Hiro laughed. "She took a picture of your butt." Duo had a mixed look on his face : pride and horror. Leeann ignored this.
"So, Rowen, any girls you like?"
"Um well, Mias nice to us. She takes us wherever we need to go," Rowen said.
Leeann waved her hand dismissively. "Hiro, tell me, and in all honesty, what do you think of Relena?"
"I---" Hiro began.
"No-o-o-o-o!" Leeann screamed as she hurtled herself at him, knocking him to the floor. She placed her hands on his shoulders and put her face four inches away from his. "Tell me its not true! Tell me you dont love her!" she wailed.
"Leeann?" Kara asked in a disbelieving voice.
"Wow, Leeann, what are you doing?" Karen questioned excitedly. Kara gave her a dirty look. Karen ignored it.
They were standing just outside the doorway. Cardiff was leaning in the doorway. Chiquita was standing in front of the open door, two of her fingers still resting on the handle.
"Partys ragin, huh?" Karen asked.
Kara demanded, "Whats going on here?"
"Im just interviewing them," Leeann stated innocently. Kara raised her eyebrows. Cardiff snorted. Chiquita smirked.
"Nice way to go about it," Karen approved. Leeann smiled.
"Thanks."
Kara was staring at Leeann with very narrow eyes. She said, "Okay, guys, fiestas over. Out."
Cardiff looked at Leeann. Her eyes widened. "My God! What are you doing to Hiro?" Chiquita rolled her eyes.
The guys filed out, Rowen first. He stopped next to Kara and whispered, "Id appreciate if you didnt tell anyone about this."
"No problem," Kara replied. She was still glaring at Leeann, who was waving and calling, "Bye, guys, hope you can come again!"
Hiro looked at her angrily. "Sorry, must have gotten the times mixed up," she smiled apologetically. "By the way, youve got a nice butt." Cardiff looked nauseated by this remark. She looked at Hiro sympathetically. He exited.
"Bye, Duo," Leeann called as she waved. Karen smiled at him understandingly. Cardiff looked blankly at him. Then she looked confused.
"Wait a minute," she said, "what the heck are you doing in our dimension, anyway?"
"Cardiff, sometimes youre as slow to notice something as Leeann," Chiquita sighed.
Insanity Continues
Karen sat on a beach towel in a gardened section of the park. Tiger lilies edged the tree she was sitting under. She looked around expectantly.
Chiquita walked though the arch that was the entrance to the garden. She walked backwards though it, exiting the garden. She walked forward. She walked backwards. Finally, she came through the arch. Karen looked at her quizzically.
"Repeated animation!" Chiquita beamed.
"More like a sugar rush," Kara sighed.
"And can I help it if theres a D.Q. two blocks from here?" Chiquita screamed.
"No," Kara explained, "but you could have not spent all of your allowance there."
"It was worth it!" Chiquita yelled, happy once more. Kara sighed and turned to Karen.
She asked, "Is Rei late?"
"No, Im right here," Rei called from above Kara. Kara and Karen looked up. Rei was sitting on a tree branch, smiling down at them. A Tiger lily was stuck behind her ear.
"All right, people, kindly take a seat," Karen said. Kara obediently and gratefully collapsed onto a towel. Chiquita grabbed the branch Rei was sitting on and did a flip onto it.
"Okay, Kara, lets start with you," Karen began, pulling a composition book and pencil out of her book bag. She paused, waiting for Kara to begin speaking.
She ventured, "Kara?" She looked over at Kara.
"Shes out cold," Rei gaped.
Karen looked up at Chiquita, saying, "Good lord, girl, what did you do to her?"
"Dunno!" Chiquita said, sounding much like a cheerleader. She bounced on the branch as she talked. Rei sweatdropped. "We just went to da Dairy Queen and all, then she started actin real weird!" Rei got a pressure "vein" on her forehead.
"Right, um, does she do this often?" Karen asked, her pencil poised over the composition book.
"Yeah. Well, not exactly. See, she does it whenever I drink lotta Coke, butnotquitelikethisshesbeingreallyweirdtoday and its freaky, man!"
"Hmm" Karen muttered as she scribbled notes into the book. "Do you feel like shes trying to control you a little too much?"
"No-o-o! I am free! I feel like I can FLY!" Chiquita sang as she spread her arms like wings.
Rei slapped her on the back of the head, yelling, "You can fly, you fool!"
Chiquita appeared not to notice Reis anger. She happily shouted, "Yeah, I can do this too!" Little ki blasts came out of both of her hands. Rei screamed and ducked, escaping from the ki blasts, spare a few hairs that were charred. Chiquita rotated her arms in wide circles, still shooting and laughing like a maniac.
"Chiquita, no, the branch!" Karen yelled. Too late. Chiquita accidentally severed the branch. She and Rei came crashing down to the earth. Karen and Rei screamed. Chiquita continued to laugh madly. Karen jumped out of the way right before the branch crushed her.
"Kara, for your own safety, wake up!" she insisted as she tugged on Karas sleeve.
"I dont want to know what shes done now," Kara replied, her eyes still unopened. Karen looked back to Chiquita. She was still laughing like a lunatic. Rei was ranting and raving at her.
"You need to calm down!" Rei screamed. "You almost got me killed!"
"I dont want to calm down," Chiquita stated innocently. In half a second, her innocent look was replaced with an insane grin.
"I love sugar!" she yelled. "And, ladies and gentlemen, for your enjoyment MY SECRET WEAPON!" She pulled a handful of brightly colored paper strips out of the gigantic pockets in her overall-shorts.
"FIFTEEN PIXIE STIX!!" She yelled, holding the strips of paper above her head. She ripped off the tips of the Pixie Stix wrappers and poured the colored sugar into her mouth.
"Thats disguising," Karen said as the sugar piled so high in Chiquitas mouth that it began trickling out the sides.
"God," Kara moaned.
Karen shrugged, "Her dentist wont be happy."
"SCREW MY DENTIST! IM INVICIBLE!" Chiquita screamed. She began giggling in a demented way and running in circles around the remains of the tree.
"Hide me," Karen said as she hid behind Rei. "Here comes Trunks. See? With Rowen." She pointed to the far side of the garden at two approaching figures. "Wonder what theyre doin together?"
"Rowen?" Chiquita asked excitedly. "Ooo, where where where?" She stopped running and looked around, her eyes huge. Karen assumed that she saw Rowen when her eyes turned into pulsing hearts and she yelled, "Ro-o-o-o-wen!!" She flew towards him. He yelled and ducked. She continued to chase him.
"Tenchi in Tokyo," Karen said. Kara laughed as she remembered the credits that Karen was referring to.
"Shes really intent on getting him, isnt she?" Rei sighed as she watched Chiquita.
"This wont end well," Kara sighed.
"Ro-o-o-o-o-w-en! My luuuuuuv!" Chiquita yelled.
Leeann, don't kill me and don't kill Chiquita either. Chiquita, that is how you act on a sugar rush and I had to make fun of somebody!
The last story is finally finished and it will be a VERY long time until I write the others. Yes, I'm still planning at least 3 more (Cardiff and Chiquita and You'll-find- out-when-you-read-it) but I wanted to write another one with meeeee!
Karen Goes Insane.... Again!
Karen was sprawed out on her bed. The floor of her room was covered with her homework. Cardiff raised her eyebrows.
"And I thought she was disorganized at school," Chiquita sighed.
"Mm? Hm? Wha---?" Karen asked as she sat up groggily. "Oh, hi," she stated, totally unenthused. She collapsed again.
"Riiiight," Chiquita said.
"Hey, guys, quit blockin the door!" Leeann called from behind Cardiff and Chiquita. They moved so she could she the reason behind the holdup.
"Karen?" Leeann called apprehensively. "You okay?"
Karen moaned, "Suuuuuugar"
Chiquita had that look of surprise on her face that meant she was going to say something stupid. Cardiff braced herself.
"If thats your version of a sugar rush, Id hate to see you when your tired," Chiquita said in an almost sarcastic tone. Karen groaned.
"Wheres your fridge?" Leeann asked urgently.
"In the kitchen, you fool," Cardiff scoffed. "Where do you usually hide a fridge?"
"Oh, in the nuclear laboratory under my house," Chiquita joked.
"What, Karas lab?" Cardiff asked.
"Oh, thats right. I have a nuclear lab under my house!" Chiquita laughed.
"GET OUTTA MY WAY! MEDICAL EMERGENCY!" Leeann yelled from behind them. They obediently stepped aside. Leeann had a bottle of Coke tucked under her left arm and a bottle of Dr. Pepper under the other arm. Cardiff and Chiquita began drooling.
Leeann set the Coke down and opened the Dr. Pepper. Karen smiled weakly. Cardiff and Chiquita, unnoticed, stole the Coke. They began to take gulps from it.
"Open your mouth," Leeann demanded of Karen, helping her sit up. She stuck the open end of the bottle into Karens mouth. "Just keep drinking," she said. Karen drained a quarter of the liquid.
"Wew, thanks," Karen sighed. "I thought I was dead."
"No problem," Leeann beamed. Suddenly, she and Karen heard insane giggling behind them.
"Ninty-nine bottles of Coke on the wall, ninty-nine bottles of Coooke! Take one down, pass it around, Sixty-two bottles of Coooke on the wall!" Chiquita sang insanely. She and Cardiff laughed.
"Sixty-three bottles of Coke on the Wall, Sixty-three bottles of Coooke!" Cardiff seconded. "Take one down and give the rest to us!" She and Chiquita began giggling again.
"Oh, great," Karen sighed.
"Hey, guys, what's up?" a voice called from the doorway.
"Oh, hi, Kara," Leeann welcomed.
"Come in, if you dare," Karen said, rolling her eyes at Chiquita and Cardiff, who were now singing, "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the Coke River". Kara laughed.
"Want some better music?" Kara asked. She pulled a capsule out of her pocket and pressed the top of it. She dropped it, and it opened with a ::pooft:: of pink smoke. A stereo and mic appeared.
"Ah, great!" Karen sighed approvingly as her eyes lit up like a little kid who has just spotted a huge Christmas present with her name on it. Kara turned on the radio. "Livin' la vida loca" drowned out Chiquita's and Cardiff's slightly off-tuned voices. Not like that upset them, or anything, because they just started singing "Livin' la vida Vegeta" insteads of "The fight will go on".
The next song was "Who let the dogs out", which added to the exitement. This was possibly because it was Kara's favorite song. Then again, it might have been because Goten and Trunks walked in at that moment. Then again, it might have been because balloons and paper streamers fell from the roof and Karen's junk piled itself into a corner. Kara gave a very innocent smile at this.
The song ended and everyone realized that Trunks and Goten had appeared. Cardiff set about creating a snack table with candy Karen didn't know she had (another smile from Kara) as Kara made a disco light appear and Leeann brought out more Coke. Trunks and Karen and Goten and Chiquita were doing the tango to "Bugga-boo". Kara began dancing even more insanly than the four of them, causing Karen to stop so suddenly that Trunks tripped on her and face-planted the carpet.
"Kara?" Karen asked in an awed voice.
"Love this song!" she panted as grooved to the vibrations. Cardiff, grabbing a Coke bottle from Leeann, shook it vigorously and opened it over Kara. Karen's jaw dropped at the cola that was streaming into the carpet until Kara winked at her. With a "Bugga-boo!" the song ended. "I wanna know" started.
"NOOOO! I won't allow slow songs!" Chiquita yelled as she dramatically sank to the floor with one hand streched towards the radio. However, she didn't stay in that position for long.
"And I wanna know what turns you o-- Sit back and listen to this song that I'm singin'!" the radio sang. Chiquita's head snapped up abruptly.
"Photron, proton, syncrotron are interesting," Cardiff sang into the mic with a patronizing smile at Chiquita. Chiquita's jaw dropped.
"That's MY song!" she yelled, snatching the mic from Cardiff.
Lauren climbed out of her sea-green car. What was that noise? It sounded like a kid screeching a song...
Lauren realized as she neared the door that it was coming from her apartment. She leaned her ear to the door.
"E-mo-TIONS are ex-HAU-sting! QUANTIUM MACHANINICS, never EVER make you frown!" reached her ears.
What the--? Lauren thought, no, never mind, I don't WANT to know.
