| Ever wonder what is in the OSLC medical supply closet? You can borrow all of the following items: wheelchairs, crutches, grabbers, walkers with and without wheels, toilet seat extenders, single shaft and 4 prong quad canes, bedside commodes, shower chairs and benches. If you or a family member needs to borrow an item just call the office and speak to Patty, Stacy or Nancy Your Home First Aid Kit Every Home has a medicine closet or a first aid kit. Do you know what the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends be included in a First Aid Kit? In addition to bandaids of various sizes, consider including the following; gloves, barrier mask if you have completed a CPR course, scissors for cutting tape or bandages, tweezers to remove splinters, adhesive tape, sterile gauze pads in various sizes, roller gauze, safety pins and a triangular bandage to support an injured arm, cold packs for bruises and bumps. You can also include first aid cream and an antiseptic ointment. If you have children you may want to include syrup of Ipecac. This induces vomiting and should only be used when instructed by the Poison Control Center. Remember to check the expiration date yearly. The POISON CONTROL TELEPHONE NUMBER should be attached to each phone in the home. |
