How to sell your products
online?
By Nowshade Kabir, Rusbiz.com
E-commerce is gaining pace! Research firm eMarketer predicts
that 2003 will see online sales reaching US $58.2 billion excluding
travel. According to Forrester Research, another reputable
research company, business to consumer e-commerce will hit US $230
billion by the year 2008. While offline retail sales are staggering and
will continue to do so in near term, online retail sales will
show a hefty 19 percent consecutive year over year growth! And
by the same year, two third of all US households will buy some
kind of products and services online. In 2003 alone 97 million
consumers will make some kind of purchases through the
Internet.
If you are selling products and services offline, you should
seriously consider hopping on to the e-commerce bandwagon, or
risk loosing significant portion of your business to your more
proactive competitors! Is it difficult to start selling products or services online?
May be, in the beginning of Internet era, this was a daunting
task, but today, with proper planning it is fairly easy.
- Choose the products or services that are viable to sell
over the Internet
- Build an online presence
- Create an online product catalog
- Choose payment methods
- Promote
Select products or services to sell
Although, some products are easier to sell online, contrary to
popular believe, most of the products and services are,
actually, marketable on the Internet. At present, books, electronics,
information and travel related products are selling better
online.

But, that does not mean that there is no room for other
products or services. As a matter of fact, you can sell just about
anything over the Internet! It depends more on the market
segment you choose, and how good you are in marketing. As you know,
traditional items that you can get in nearest grocery store
were not doing very well on the Internet. However, that is
going to change very soon! According to Forrester Research
many of today's slow categories are poised to significant
growth as oppose to early online sales leaders like travel
and electronics, which will experience market maturity and
slower growth. Prediction is:
Food and beverage category will grow at a rate of 49 percent,
reaching $18.2 billion by 2007. The home products category
will grow by 42 percent over five years, from $7.3 billion
in 2002 to $42.0 billion in 2007. Flowers, cards, and gifts
will grow by 41 percent, from $951 million in 2002 to $5.3
billion in 2007.
That's not all! By the year 2008, today's best selling product:
books will have a mere 3 percent share of total business to
consumer online sales. So, if your products and services can generate offline sales
there should not be any problem in selling these items online.
Build online presence
You can choose to build an e-commerce website either yourself
by hiring required experts, i.e. web programmers or by
appointing a website developing company to do the job for
you. In both of the cases, you have to be prepared to spend
a significant amount of money. E-commerce site is a very
broad terminology! Depending on you demand, it can cost you
from a modest US $800 to any where over a million US dollar!
That's not all! You have to be prepared to spare considerable
time on it, as well. Writing the technical scope, choosing
the appropriate design for your site and creating proper
content for your site will take a lot of your time. And
there is no guarantee that you will do everything right!
That's why, if you are new to e-commerce and do not want
to spend a fortune in your first endeavor, you should think
about making your online presence by choosing one of the
available, on the Internet, Web Store services. There are
enormous advantages of using these services:
- You can build one for a fraction of the cost, needed
to create an e-commerce website.
- You can choose the design of your web store from
numerous available templates.
- Simple editor allows you creating your web store
all by yourself.
- You can be up and running within days.
- You can choose a merchant account from the one offered by
the service provider.
There are many Web Store service providers on the Internet
like Yahoo! Store, Bigstep, Rusbiz, etc. Compare and choose
the one, which best suits your requirement. As an added
advantage, some of the Web Store service providers will
integrate your store with a shopping mall or e-marketplace
free of charge. This will instantly expose your web store
to a large targeted prospective customer audience.
Create an online catalog
If you sell only one or couple of products and do not add
products or services often, you don't require an online
catalog. However, if you have a product line of over 10
products and you constantly add or change products, you
should consider a web store with the facility of an online
product catalog. This feature of a web store service allows
rapid developing and maintaining of you electronic catalog
without spending large sums on creating one by yourself.
Look for a web store service provider who offers wizard or
form base product adding method to the electronic catalog
and use some kind of standard product classification codes.
At later stage, if you choose to sell products through
e-marketplaces, this will allow you to integrate your
products to e-marketplaces and make sales offers with ease.
Choose a payment method
If you are planning to sell ebooks, reports, whitepapers etc.
I would suggest you to consider using clickbank's marketplace.
That way, you don't have to worry about getting a credit
card merchant account.
Around 90 percent of all sales transaction occur online are
by credit card payments. To accept credit card payment over
the Internet, you must first have a merchant account. A
merchant account allows a vendor to process credit card
transactions. If you built a web store online with one of
the web store service providers, you will see that they
offer gateways to one or several merchant account providers
and have partnership with them. In general, you get a better
deal with them. However, as charges vary significantly from
one merchant account provider to another, make sure you shop
around before committing yourself to one.
Promote you site
To sell your products through your site, you must draw
traffic. There are number of ways of promoting your site
on the Internet. This includes:
- Search engine submissions
- Adding your site to different online directories
- Opt-in email campaign
- Link exchange
- Banner and link ads
In you effort to promote your site, you should combine as
many offline and online promotional methods you can come
up with. The more traffic you can generate the better chance
you have of selling more products from your Web Store.

No. 3 (The Electric Current) | Up
| |
|
From the book "Contemporary Parables"
by Robert Elias Najemy
The
relationship of the electrical current to the various
machines through which
it expresses itself is a good example for understanding
the relationship between the spirit, the body and
the mind.
The
electric current is the spirit, or more accurately,
the universal spirit,
since it is the same current which flows through
all the different appliances, bringing them to life. It is the
same current which flows through
the light bulb, the cassette player, the air conditioner,
the heater, the stove,
the radio, the stereo, the television, the fan,
the electric vacuum cleaner, the computer, etc.
(The list is extremely large and ever
expanding). All these different manifestations,
functions and types and qualities
of machines are brought to life by the one and same
electric current. In the
same way, all the beings we see on the earth such
as humans, animals, fish,
plants and insects, even microbes are expressions
of the one universal spirit.
Although
all machines will eventually deteriorate, falter,
and break down, the
electrical current will remain unaffected. The same
is true of the decay or death of any of the trillions of bodies,
through which the universal spirit
is expressing itself. Although bodies are born and
die, the spirit is unaffected.
Although some machines may have various functions,
or different qualities, the current which is flowing through them is
the same in quality. One light bulb
may project more light than another, but the limitation
is in the bulb, not
the current. Thus, although people and animals have
different functions and differing qualities of bodies and minds,
the spirit, which is flowing through
them all, is the same. The limitations are found
in the vehicles of expression
of the spirit (the body and the mind).
The
machines are temporary manifestations, through which
the eternally existing
current flows expressing itself as heat, sound,
cold, motion, light etc. The temporary reality is the machine. The
lasting reality is the current.
In the same way, our bodies and personalities are
temporary vehicles
of the expression of the universal spirit. The spirit
is eternal.

The
purpose of life is to realize that we are not these
machines, these bodies
and personalities, but rather, we are the current
itself, the one universal spirit, which is omnipresent and eternal.
We also need to realize that
we are all equal; that we are all one and the same
being expressing itself
in various ways. That is the basis of love and unity.
The other purpose of life is to express that beauty, peace and creative power
that lies within us through
the temporary body and mind in the form of thoughts,
words and actions which
benefit and beautify the world around us. ***End

Article No. 4 (The successful
man who committed suicide.) | Up
| |
|
The
successful man who committed suicide. by
Joan Marques.
James
seemed to have it all. There were three classy cars
in the driveway of his mansion, which was located
in the better side of town. His children were all
in college, delivering great results. His wife was
a beauty, complimented for her looks wherever the
couple showed up. His business in computer software
programming was running like a train, and his employees
adored him. He had an open door policy and made
sure to involve all stakeholders of his organization
in every important change he was planning to apply.
James
was a model-person: your stereotypical success personification.
Yet, on a cold November night, the police stopped
at the family front door and brought his wife and
the kids that were home at that moment the sad news
of James’ death. He had shot himself through the
head. It was obviously suicide. The handwritten
note in his pocket explained everything. James was
tired of it: He stepped out. No one in his neighborhood,
the clubs that he frequented, or his office, understood
the reasons behind James’ act. This man had been
the epitome of success. What had gotten into him?
Did he suddenly lose his mind? For as far as the
investigation went, James’ records were flawless:
no debts, no addictions, no relations with the underworld,
and no signs of insanity, not even troubles at home.
Everybody was shocked. And confused.

Of
course they were confused! Here was a symbol of
the dream they all had. And he pulled the plug on
himself. He didn’t want to live the dream anymore.
So what were they supposed to think now? Here’s
what really happened to James: he had been pretty
successful all his life, according to society’s
standards. He earned his MBA at a reasonably young
age, and started his own business. Because of his
understanding character he managed to attract quality
people who believed in what they were doing. So
business boomed. And James’ life soon lost its challenge.
Everything was running so well, that James gradually
started to feel redundant. His children didn’t need
him anymore, his wife was having a good time with
her friends and social activities, and his business
was flourishing, whether he was there or not.
He
started to get tired of the same faces at the same
places all the time. He was surrounded by many people,
yet lonely. He started wondering if he wouldn’t
have been better of to continue struggling, being
happy with every little victory booked, instead
of having everything come his way as if it was meant
to be. He also started to understand that dreams
should not be realized too fast, because that could
leave you with nothing left to dream. And for James
that was exactly the case: he had nothing left to
dream. Every possible road in his life was paved
to a sickening level. He felt as if his purpose
was fulfilled, and that his journey might as well
be over.
James’
story indicates that success- like failure- is just
an opinion. Society has created a number of criteria
for success, which are chased by many of its members.
People are constantly trying to find ways to achieve
higher living standards: they go back to school
in order to earn a degree, they become members of
upscale clubs to become buddies with important people,
and they buy expensive cars and homes to show others
that they are doing well. And a relatively small
number really reaches the point where all dreams
are realized. But after having read James’ story,
that may not be considered so unfortunate anymore,
don’t you think? Success is an opinion. Everybody
thought that James was successful, but he didn’t.
He was unhappy enough to choose to exit. That may
indicate that he was not as successful in his own
perception as everybody else thought. For what,
really, is success? Is it all that James personified
and left behind, or is it the establishment of a
lifestyle one feels pleased with for a long time,
whatever that lifestyle may be? And doesn’t that
mean, then, that some people are successful even
if they deliberately choose for a low stress job
with low pay, but much contentment, even if they
could do differently? Can we ever reach a unique
conclusion as to what success really consists of?
Someone
recently told me that you can only judge whether
someone has been successful after his or her death.
I don’t agree. I think that even at that point we
cannot reach a unique conclusion, as some people
may consider the studied person successful, while
others will disagree, based on their personal criteria.
In conclusion, success is something we all can attain,
as long as we care enough to consider what our personal
definition of success is. So, maybe it’ s time for
you to wonder if, as a matter of fact, you are not
successful now, even if no one else agrees? After
all, "what shall it profit a man to gain the
whole world and, in the end, lose his soul?"
That’s not success either! ***The End of the Article***

Usage of Search
engines and directories :
copyright 2003 Arakkal M Sebastian
---------------------------------------------------------
Searching Search.Com
"Why should I do this ?
If
you don't know which search engine or directory
to use, you might want
to check out Search.com. This site, run by c/net,
is essentially a "directory
of directories," or what techs call a
"metasearch" site. Use Search.com to
look for the best search engine
for your needs. It lists dozens of smaller, more
topic- specific search engines and directories in addition
to the normal large search
sites.
Searching Yahoo! "Why
should I do this?
The
most popular search site on the Web has a funny
name with an exclamation
point at the end: Yahoo! Is not a search engine
it's a directory of Web sites.
Yahoo! Hand-picks sites for its directory,
organizes the sites by category, gives you the option
of searching its directory for the sites you need.
Searching Lycos "Why
should I do this?
Where
Yahoo! is not a search engine (it's a directory),
Lycos most definitely is a search engine. Lycos uses a special
software program called
a spider to roam the Web and catalog new pages and
sites as they are created. The downside of Lycos (and
other search engines)
is that the sites listed are not qualified or organized
in any way. The upside, of course, is that Lycos lists
a lot more sites that
does Yahoo! or any directory.
Searching Infoseek
"Why should I go this?
Like
Yahoo!, Infoseek is a directory with Web sites that
have been hand-picked for the listing. Unlike Yahoo!, Infoseek
also includes a search
engine, called Ultraseek, as part of its site. This
means you get the best
of both worlds - the handpicked listings in the
Infoseek directory and
a much larger universe of sites with the Ultraseek
search engine.
Searching AltaVista
"Why should I do this?
Alta
Vista is the most popular search engine for the
Web. Developed by the engineers at Digital Equipment Corporation,
AltaVista is powered by
numerous powerful DEC computers, which gives it
a speed and breadth beyond its competitors. The downside
of AltaVista is that sometimes
returns too may results; you often have to click through several pages of results to find
the right one. But you
will get more results with AltaVista than with other
engines; it's a definite ase of quantity over quality.

Web Sites for News
and Information
With
the World Wide Web, you can get just about the news
you want: current news
eadlines, in-depth topic analyses, specialized
industry and company news, even
news customized for your city or
town. In fact, almost every major newspaper, agazine
and televisionnews organization has a site on the Web,
many of which offer more
current news than you'll find in their other-media
versions. Information
comin various formon the Web. Some sites just repackage
their rint news. Other sites
offer a shorter, digest-like version of breaking
stories. Still other sites offer more in-depth information
online than they do in print.
he one thing that I like about getting any
news online is that it's always
up-to-date. Most news-based Web sites update their information constantly, so you can
find out what's happening
pretty much as it happens. There's no waiting
around for the nightly news report, the morning
newspaper, or the weekly
newsmagazine.
A
few of the sites (including CNN ) let you create
a "ticker" directly on you Windows 95 desktop. By clicking
a button at these sites,
you'll create a special window or icon that scrolls
the latest news, scores, or stock reports automatically.
(Note that these "tickers"
are only updated while you're connected to the Web; when you break your connection,
they can't update their information.)
Visiting CNN Online
for Current News "Why would I do this?"
CNN
is the main source for news on cable and satellite
systems. It goes to figure that CNN would also be a powerful
force in the online world
- in fact, it's one of the best news sources on
the Web. In addition, CNN also runs some related sites with
more specialized information,
such as CNNfn for financial news.
Visiting CNNfn for
Financial News "Why would I do this?"
CNNfn
is CNN's cable cousin, specializing in financial
news and information. Just as CNN online is the premiere
Web site for general news,
CNNfn is the premiere Web site for financial news.
Look here for all your market information, including in-depth
financial reporting, personal
finance news, research information, and current
stock quotes .
Things to do on the
Web
Making
Travel Plans. There are literally hundreds of different
Web sites offering travel-related information;
many of these sites also
let you book your own flight and hotel reservations.
It's really convenient
to book your travel online. You can find out what's
available and for what cost,
and then confirm everything right from home. Many sites (such as MapQuest.com) also let
you create a map of your
destination.
Shopping.
The number of stores operating on the Internet
has now reached tens of thousands.
Virtually every big retailer and many small retailers offer the capability
to shop and purchase merchandise
right from your Web browser. The Internet Mall site collects the Web addresses
of more than 22,000 online
merchants. Once you enter an online merchant's
site, it's just like shopping from a catalog -
except it's interactive! (Just
make sure you have your credit card handy when you
start your online shopping spree)
Making Travel Plans
on the Web. "Why would I do this?"
Web-based
travel sites are good substitutes for travel agents.
From the comfort of your own keyboard, you can
check flight and hotel
availability and even book your own reservations.
TravelWeb is an all-in-one Web
site that makes booking
your reservations as easy as a few mouse clicks!
Shopping on the Web
"Why should I do this?"
While
web browsing will probably never replace mall browsing,
it's quite convenient to shop for and order merchandise
right from your computer
keyboard. In fact, shopping via the Internet is
a lot like shopping from
a direct mail catalog; the only difference is, you
don't have to bother making
a phone call and dealing with an operator! With so many merchants opening up online
storefronts, you want
to start at a site that lists just about every store
available online. That
site is called the Internet Mall. For an example,

Article No. 6 (Stress Release
Via Personal Care) | Up
| |
|
Stress
Release Via Personal Care (By Phil Beckett)
Copyright
© Physique Concepts Inc.
If
you notice a greater deal of stress at home or work,
or any other place for that matter, try to learn
helpful ways to talk about conflicts and reduce
the stress. Take notice of your everyday actions
and activities to see what, if anything you can
modify in order to make your life simpler and relieve
your feelings of stress. Simple things like avoiding
high traffic areas and times of the day, assigning
certain household chores and other responsibilities
to other members of your family, carpooling your
kids to school and other activities, with their
friends parents, etc. can have a very positive affect
on relieving chronic stress and making your life
easier over-all. You will notice that some of the
situations that cause stress will turn out to be
beyond your control; stress is just a side effect
of it. If both your family and friends support you
(which they should), it will make it much easier
to handle. Try to spend more time around people
who make you feel better about yourself.
And
just as important, avoid those people who time and
again leave you feeling distressed, worn out or
drained. Find some time every day to relax. You'll
be able to recover from the stress of the day. In
addition, there are certain relaxation methods that
can help you relieve the effects of stress:
Meditation,
tightening and loosening each muscle group in your
body one after another; Closing your eyes and visualizing
a soothing scene, and listening to peaceful music;
Sit quietly and breath slowly and uniformly. Close
your eyes and inhale and exhale slowly through your
nose. Pause for 2 seconds after you exhale and repeat
until you feel the stress has lessened;

Here
are just some ways exercise helps with stress: Exercise
may help to cause positive changes in the brain
by releasing serotonin contributing to feeling relaxed
and satisfied and increase alpha-wave activity in
the brain producing a calming effect; Exercise can
help to get your mind off negative, stressful thoughts.
Most forms of physical activity and exercise in
general require good concentration helping respect.
Exercising at a gym, at home or doing activities
outside will present an opportunity to work out
any negative feelings that cause you stress or simply
clear your mind and think about nothing at all;
Working out with someone helps to provide you with
the pleasure of companionship and prevents you from
feeling lonely. Exercise helps you feel vigilant
and invigorated helping to dramatically reduce your
feelings of stress; Exercise is a stress relief.
It can help to ease nagging muscle and emotional
tension and helps you to have a deeper and more
relaxing sleep. The connection between stress &
nutrition;
One
of the many roles nutrition has in helping you combat
stress rests primarily on it's ability to bolster
your immune system and replace those nutrients that
your body uses in greater amounts during negative
situations. Women who suffer constantly are commonly
deficient in magnesium. This deficiency can result
in anxiety, fear and in extreme cases hallucinations.
The thymus gland needs an anti stress vitamin called
pantothenic acid. Women need other B vitamins for
proper functioning of the nervous system.
A
woman's need for vitamin C increases dramatically
under stress. You should be taking a minimum of
500 mg of time released vitamin C per day. If you're
under a tremendous amount of stress you will need
much more than this each day. Zinc will protect
your cells from free radical damage. In order to
ensure that your receiving all of the vitamins and
minerals that you need each day you must take a
high- quality multivitamin supplement; this isn't
an option! You must also ensure that you are eating
a well balanced diet consisting of an ample amount
of protein carbohydrates with some fats. Also, you
must ensure that your body is being fed consistently.
This means you must eat 4 to 6 small well- balanced
meals each day. Sugar and other starches can create
an even bigger drain on your body's levels of vitamin
C and the B vitamins.
You
should try to eliminate or restrict your consumption
of these substances. Make a concerted effort to
take good care of yourself, get enough sleep and
try to make sure that your diet is balanced and
consists of a variety of nutritious foods. The more
you can recognize the cause of your stress and make
modifications to eliminate or reduce stress, the
better you'll begin to feel. ***The End of the Article***

for Couples with Kids: 10 ideas) | Up

True Romance
for Couples with Kids: 10 ideas. By Susie Cortright
In
my marriage, some of the most memorable evenings
have also been the least expensive. Sure, I have enjoyed
the bouquets and the boxes
of chocolate, but it is the folk music in the
ski lodge, the sips of Chardonnay on our summer
porch swing, and the nights
spent reading in bed, side by side, that
really stand out. Anyone
can splurge on a formal dinner or a pricey bottle
of perfume, but it takes
creativity, forethought, and time to be truly romantic. The key
lies in personalizing your celebration. Here are
ten ideas to fuel your own creativity:
1.
Empty a box of chocolate (either into your mouth
or onto a plate...) Then cut out 50 to 100 hearts from lace
doilies, construction
paper, or fabric. On each cutout, record
something about him that you
love. Be specific, "The way you smell
when you come to bed at night," "The way
you take care of me when
I’m sick," or simply "Your recipe for
pancakes." Another
variation: Write down 100 cherished memories of
your life together. Fold the cutouts, place them in
the chocolate box, and
top with a red satin bow. The time you spend coming
up with these ideas will contribute to your own
romantic mood, and what
he thinks is a plain box of chocolates will be a
gift he’ll keep close to his heart forever. And you
can add to the box each
year.
2.
Build a romantic fire. Before the kids go to bed,
have fun roasting marshmallows.
After their lights are out, host your own indoor picnic, complete with a bottle of wine
and chocolate-covered
strawberries.
3.
Recreate your first date together. What were you
wearing? Where did you go? Do you remember what you talked
about? Spend the evening
reminiscing and reflecting on how far you’ve come
as a couple.
4. Spoon all night.

5.
Choose a book in which you are both interested,
fiction or nonfiction.
Read a new chapter each night before bed. This
cozy tradition will allow you to spend some quality
time together and often
makes for thought-provoking breakfast conversations.
6.
Make a tape of the songs special to your relationship.
Include "your song,"
songs from your wedding, songs from favorite
movies. Add a personal voice dedication and leave
it in his briefcase, Walkman,
or car stereo.
7. Turn off the TV.
8.
Kidnap your husband. Arrange for a babysitter for
a few hour--or a few days.
A friend of mine had a lot of success with this one. She knew her husband had always
wanted to get married
in Vegas, but he had agreed to a large, formal ceremony
hosted by her family. So, after they had been married
10 years, she surprised
him at work with a packed suitcase. They caught
an evening flight and renewed their vows before
an Elvis impersonator
in a Vegas chapel. Years later, they’re still
talking about it.
9.
This one requires a babysitter, too. Next time you’re
visiting your parents or in-laws,
leave the kids with their grandparents and travel to another town, where
no one will recognize
you. Check into a hotel or B&B. Dress like another
woman. Act like another woman.
It’s fun to slip into another persona
from time to time.
10.
Have a scavenger hunt. Write a few poems, wrap candy
kisses inside, and hide them
around the house. Each poem should be a clue to finding the next one. Make
sure the final clue lands
your man someplace you want to end up for
the entire evening. A romance package, including
a bottle of champagne and new lingerie, is a nice
touch. Create a memory
this Valentine's Day, not with your pocketbook
but with your imagination.

Article No. 8 (Confessions Of A Dumb
Monkey) | Up

Confessions
Of A Dumb Monkey ---- by John Colanzi
Sometimes
I'm so dumb it amazes me. I know that I should never fall in love with a program
and I should never get complacent with how I market.
I guess
that makes me a dumb monkey. So what do I mean by that? There are some countries
where monkeys are a delicacy. More specifically their brains.
One
of the methods they use to capture the monkeys is
to take a large jar and place a nut
or fruit in the bottom. Anything that the monkey likes to eat.
The
top of the jar is just big enough for the monkeys
open hand to reach in and just heavy
enough that the monkey can't run with it. When the monkey reaches
in and grabs his little goody, he finds he can't get his hand out.
No matter how hard he struggles, he can't pull his hand out.
Now
this dumb monkey doesn't realize, that if he
let go of the prize he's clutching
in his hand, he could easily get his hand back out. The same thing happens
to online marketers. They find a product or service and fall in love
with it. They promote it to the high heavens. But no matter how much
they promote, they can't seem to make a sale. Just like that monkey
that won't drop
the nut, they just keep pouring good money after
bad and refuse to let
go. The
same thing happens with their marketing methods.
They fall into the trap
of using an advertising technique or marketing method that doesn't bring
any results.
It doesn't
matter how bad the results are they just
keep throwing more money into the pot,
hoping this time it will work.

Man
alive, they've become just as trapped as that little
monkey. They don't know
when to let go. They've fallen in love and keep spending money like
a drunken sailor on shore leave. Do yourself a favor, don't be a dumb
monkey. If
a marketing method isn't working, let it go and
find something that does.
If a
product or service doesn't sell, let it go and
find something that will. Smart investors know that
secret. Many times the only difference between a successful investor
and a losing investor is, the successful investor knows when
to cut his
losses. Your
business
can be the best investment you ever make,
but like any investment,
you have to know when to pyramid your profits and even more importantly
when to cut
your losses. Learn that lesson and you're on your way to
success. ***The End of the Article***

Article No. 9 (What to sell on the Internet?) | Up
| |

What to sell on the Internet?
By Nowshade Kabir, Rusbiz.com
The
phenomenal growth of ecommerce lures more and more
people to dream about
starting an online business. The question that
bothers
many and restrains them from realizing their dream
is
what to sell on the Internet.
If
you have spent sometime on the Internet trying to
figure out what product
or service you should choose to sell online,
you
must have noticed that people are selling every
conceivable product and service over the
Internet. Contrary to popular belief, even
big ticket items are also selling on the Internet
very
well. But, nevertheless, it is not very easy for
a newbie to find a product rather quickly and start
marketing online.
If
you are having difficulty in finding a good tangible
product to market
on the Internet or afraid to manage all the hassles
of
shipping and handling you may seriously consider
selling information
online. According to data, most people browse
through the Internet in search of some sorts of information
that they require. Survey conducted
by Neilsen Media Research shows that Books and
Information
Category tops the highest selling product and
service
on the Internet with a significant margin in comparison
to
other categories. This makes information a natural
product for sale on the Internet. Information
sells online in the formats of e-books,
articles, reports, data, whitepapers etc. If you
have
expertise in any specific field, you may consider
selling your ideas in one of the mentioned format.
Check
out Clickbank's marketplace to get a good idea what
people are selling.
You will be truly amazed by the scope of ideas!
Although,
information is the most sought after product on
the Internet;
that does not mean it is an easy-to-sell product.
For one
thing – there are tons of free information available
on the Internet, and the second is people on
the Internet are not very willing to
pay for information. This is the reason why you
have to
be very careful in choosing the right product to
market online.
People will buy your information
product, if it is:
- A particular knowledge that
they crave
- It makes their life easier,
i.e. saves time
- It teaches them some subject
that they would like to learn.
Which are the products that
fall in these categories?
Expert
advises, tips and ideas in a niche field:
Body
building tips, dieting secrets, dating ideas, stock
trading secrets, Internet
marketing ideas are examples of this category.
Trend forecasts:
Businesses
spend fortunes to have a better understanding of
specific trends.
If you have enough expertise to predict a trend
of
a specific field, i.e. high technology, stock market,
Internet, etc., you may have a comfortable
living by selling newsletter and whitepapers.
The hard part is: you have to prove that you are
really an expert in this field.
Courses:
Thanks
to Internet, more and more people are willing to
learn different
subjects from the comfort of their work and home.
If you
have enough knowledge of a particular subject, create
an online
course and market it through Internet.
Surveys and data:
Business
bases on various marketing, demographic, sales and
other data.
You may collect those data from various sources
and
by conducting your own online surveys. This also
requires enough
knowledge of a specific business field and their
requirement.
Research and Analysis:
People
are often ready to pay for research and analysis
information of their fields because,
in general, this saves their own time.
That is why subscription based stocks and other
research websites
are thriving on the Internet. There are number of
other reasons why you should consider
selling information
on the Internet.
Audience size
Millions of
people from all over the world are browsing through
the Internet
in any given time. Your information product can
be exposed to a very large number of prospective
buyers in no time.
Easy to develop
Information
products like reports and e-books are fairly easy
to create.
All you need is – the knowledge of the field, a
little
determination and enough time to spend on it.
Low cost and low over head
You
can create and market a report for less than US
$100. You can take advantage
of numbers of free marketing tools available
on
the Internet. You can even keep your overhead low
by doing things
all by yourself.
You can start part time
This
is one business you can start from shoestring and
spending only couple
of hours a day. You can keep your job until you
feel
comfortable with the earning you generate through
your online endeavor.
Conduct business from anywhere
The
best thing about this business is you can do it
from anywhere. You are no longer confined
to a specific geographical region. While
developing your information product keep in mind
the
following aspects:
- Does this product satisfy
a need or does it solve a problem?
- Is their enough value in it?
- Is it a better product than
others available on the Internet?
- Is this product easy to market
to your chosen market segment?
The
last question is very important as the sheer size
of Internet makes
it virtually impossible to focus on it as a whole.
You
must segment your market as clearly and as specifically
as possible to become a successful Internet
marketer. Once you finished developing
your product, initially, try selling your
product through a marketplace similar to Clickbank.
This
will allow you to setup your online business fairly
quick. You will not need a merchant account of
your own and you can build your affiliate
program with an ease.

Article No. 10 (The Power of
Sex) | Up
| |
|
The Power
of Sex By: Ernest
Quansah
What
do you know about sex? When was the last time you
had fulfilling sex. Sex does not have to great from time
to time. It can
be great every time. It all depends on how often,
when, where and who you do it with. This article has
two parts. This issue is part
one. There are several factors that contribute to
having fulfilling
sex. This issue discusses the first three factors.
They are KNOWLEDGE, VALUE AND FREQUENCY.
FACTOR
ONE: KNOWLEDGE, Just like anything, if you want
to have great sex, you must be sexually knowledgeable. No,
I don't mean positions
and G-Spots. I am talking about understanding the
purpose of sexual intercourse. What it
represents and what it does.
Such are the first and foremost knowledge you need
to have. Knowing
about the act it self is okay but not enough. It
is also important to know when to have sex. This is because
sex has many purposes.
Remember when you know how a machinery works, you
are likely to operate the machine well. You
will also maintain it properly
so it performs at maximum capacity. SUGGESTIONS,
Sex can be great
or lousy. It can create an unbreakable bound between
man and wife. On the other hand, it can also turn two people
against each
other. Your knowledge of sex and how you apply this
knowledge will either enhance or ruin
your sex life.
FACTOR
TWO: VALUE, The value you have for sex and your
mate determines how fulfilling sex will be between the two
of you. Valuing
your mate and sex will bring your marriage closer.
Valuing your mate is superior to love.
Why, because value means to
highly regard your mate. Too often people say making
love. Lets be
honest, can love be made? Love is not made but rather
expressed through sex
by couples. Value in any relationship is
absolutely crucial. People who sell or
by sex acknowledge one thing.
When money is exchanged for sex, the only thing
that matters to the seller is the money. While
as the buyer is only in it for the orgasm. Street women often say they hate what they
do but do it
for the money. This means they do not care about
the act or the client. As human beings, we
take good care of things that
mean something to us. If you have value for something,
you treat it
well and take good care of it. Valuing sex means
the act is significant and meaningful to the participants during
sexual intercourse.
When couples value each other, the expression of
their love through sexual intercourse
is done in such a way that both
individuals enjoy it.

SUGGESTIONS:
Do what ever it takes to value
your mate if you are not already doing so. When
human beings know their mates value them, they
will love the mate. Am I correct?
People are as you see them. The way you see a person
sexually is the way you treat the person.
FACTOR
THREE: FREQUENCY, Research conducted in Europe indicates
that sex is more pleasurable when it is
not perform too frequent. I
will like to use water for an analogy. You drink
water through out
the day. You go without it for several hours. When
you finally drink
water how does it taste? Sexual intercourse is the
same. When you do it
too much, becomes somewhat boring. Why, because you did it because it was there. On the other
hand if you paste
it out, it becomes very good.
SUGGESTIONS:
Remember that it is
best to have sex that is worth remembering. Doing
it just because
it is there for the taking is the same as going
through the motion
for orgasm reasons. I recommend setting aside one
night every second week minimum for sex. You will
notice that it feels better. The orgasm will feel much more intense.
If you disagree
you may conduct this experiment and find out for
your self. Have sex it each day for two weeks.
Go two weeks without it before doing it. Compare how both you and your mate
felt. Sexuality
is one of the most powerful things human beings
have. This power is able to create joy between
couples.
