I was born on September 15 1972 in Delft. After passing my high school exam at the Sint Stanislas College in 1990, I started my studies in Electrical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology (DUT) in that same year. I graduated in 1995 on a topic in Informationtheory. On July 15 1995, I began a present function as TWAIO (= post-MSc student of Electrical Design Engineering) at the TVS group (= Telecommunications and Traffic Control Systems) of the DUT. The project involved the design of a system that can transmit and receive data by means of existing television transmitters (electronic publishing). I successfully completed this at July 15 1997.
On September the 1st 1997, I joined Ericsson Business Mobile Networks (EMN) in Enschede (The Netherlands). I also moved to the same city. At Ericsson, I've acquired the skills of programming and designing software-architectures in the C and C++ languages. In addition, I've learnt to apply the Ward & Mellor and RUP development methods, and the UML notation. From January 2002 until May 2003, I was an algorithm designer for Ericsson. Based on Matlab simulations and a simulator written in C++, I predicted the quality of the received radio signal.
Sadly in 2003, the Ericsson site in Enschede was closed down, which meant I had to find a new job. I finally got a job as consultant at Cimsolutions, for which I had to move because Enschede was considered too remote a part of The Netherlands. For that reason, I lived in Apeldoorn since April 2004. After first having worked for SKF in Nieuwegein for half a year, I worked for Thales in Hengelo for 9 months. My last assignment for Cimsolutions was designing a speed-camera for Peek-Traffic in Amersfoort.
Because I did not feel at ease at Cimsolutions, I left there at 31 July 2005. Currently (since 16 August 2005), I work for Profit-Consulting in Apeldoorn and have been assigned at Pemstar in Almelo. Furthermore, I have been living in Almelo since March 2005 with my girlfriend Annemariken van Rutten.
