                                      WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA
April 30th       Jerry and Lesly left Winnipeg and arrived in Marquette, Manitoba   44 kms
May 1st          Arrived in Westburne 
May 2nd         Arrived in Gladstone
May 3rd          Arrived in Neepawa
May 4th          Riding Mountin National Park.... spent a few days here, golfing with Mama Andrews.  They are now 319 kilometers from home.  They said they battled the winds, mud and rain and are looking forward to nicer weather.
May 9th          Arrived in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba
May 10th         Arrived in Roblin, now a stone throw away from Saskatchewan, and they are hoping nicer weather in the wheat province.


                                                  
SASKATCHEWAN
May 11th        ARRIVED IN SASKATCHEWAN   607 kilometers from home.

May 12th         in Kelvington, Saskatchewan, and the wind is still blowing.  They don't know if
                       they can pass a grocery store, since they need so much energy for peddling.
May 13th         Star City, Sask.  858 kilometers
May 14th         Melfort, Sask. 883 kilometers
May 15th         Prince Albert, Sask.  983 kilometers from home.  They now think they can
                       make it.

May 16th         Shellbrooke and Debden, Sask
May 17th         Big River and Meadow Lake, Sask.  1248 kilometers from home. Jerry and Lesly phoned us in Fort Simpson tonight.  They said the wind was really blowing and the cycling is tough. 
May 18th         Meadow Lake was the place to stay.  Lesly said the winds were between 40 and 70 km's and it always seemed against them.  They were going to 'shack up' for 2 days in town before heading out to Cold Lake, still some 240 km's away.



                                                            
ALBERTA
May 20th          Cold Lake, Alberta.  this is where we sent all the extra food and supplies to.  A friend of Jeannine's, David, was kind enough to allow his place to be the drop off point for extras.
May 21st          Left Cold Lake for the north country

May 22nd         Jerry and Lesly called from Lac La Biche, some 1530 kilometers from Winnipeg.  They have good weather and travelled 150 kms.  They had stayed overnight in cold lake, alberta and then headede out to Iron River, Alberta.  They are on schedule and should arrive in Fort Simpson around June 14th.
May 23rd          These guys are making good progress.  They are averaging 70 kilometers per day and at this rate, they would arrive in Fort Simpson on June 9th.  6 days ahead of schedule.  This is pretty good comsidering there getting old. :)   They are in
Athabasca, some 1648 kilometers from Winnipeg.  Fort Simpson is 3,000 km's from Winnipeg.  They had another flat tire, 4 so far.
May 24th       Arrived in Lawrence Lake, Alberta.  Forest Fires in the area and the water bombers were filling up their planes in Lawrence Lake.  Very hot and smoky riding today.

May 25th       Arrived in Slave Lake, Alberta and decided to stay here for a couple days.  Anybody wanting to phone us here, the number is 1-800-661-6657, room 248.  Our route has changed slightly.  Originally we were taking 88 north, but now we going to head on #2 to Peace River, Alberta.
Orville is driving from Fort Simpson to Edmonton on May 26th, so will be stopping off in Slave Lake to spend the night with the weary travellers
