The dry log crackled as the flame in the fire place rose higher. Matt Hardy restlessly walked up and down the room , counting every minute that crawled by. Jericho looked up and frowned. "You are giving me a headache" he complained. "Is it ready yet?" Matt asked, his voice showing signs of impatience. Chris Jericho took off his glasses and rubbed his weary eyes. "No" "What?" the Hardy couldn't believe his ears, hasn't he been waiting long enough? Jericho placed his glasses back and stared at Matt with frustration. "Why don't you fix it if you are so clever." He snapped, throwing the piece of equipment back at Matt. "Aw come on, don't do this to me." Matt groaned holding the equipment with a long face, he need to retrieve his data he stored in. The equipment turned out to be a pocket size high-tech notebook. "I will have it done by tomorrow or you can take that damn piece of crap away." The underground doctor cum IT professional replied with a yawn. "Okay, you win." Matt sighed , knowing he couldn't get Jericho to fix the notebook by today. "It was all his fault." The Hardy mumbled under his breath, recalling how the notebook found broken on the floor together with the fallen shelf. "Who? Oh, you mean that punk guy Jeff?" Jericho stood up and took back the notebook from Matt, smiling away with satisfaction. "What so funny? I still think this is a mistake taking him in." Matt fold his arm and sat heavily on the coach near by. "Well, no doubt he is a little suspicious." Chris Jericho answered while placing the notebook on his table and continue with the repair. "A little auspicious? Come on, that guy is hiding something. I can smell it!" Matt narrowed his eyes as if Jeff was standing in front of him. Jericho looked at friend with a smile and took out a blood sample from the drawer. "Let's do some testing shall we?" One side of Matt's lips curled up maliciously. "You are one kick ass genius." |
