![]() (est:1962) I started breeding Afghans in 1976.
Aust.Ch Ormalu Lincoln's Legacy "Linny" Blue Domino. In her first year in the "Ring", she scooped 18 out of a possible 20 points to become TOP PUPPY OF THE YEAR plus RUNNER UP BITCH in the QAHA Point Score System in 82/83. She went on the following year to win TOP AFGHAN OF THE YEAR. She was then mated and never hit the ring again. (No-one told me they lose so much coat, not like the pekes, they come back easier). She was mated to "Hogan" (Aust.Ch.Kabik's Limelite of Aries (imp.USA)). We had 8 puppies, one bitch I kept, two went to Jim Hickie, a dog and a bitch. These were placed at the First Afghan Hound National in NSW 1985, mine came second in Junior. My pick dog was killed in an accident in SA, the night before the Adelaide Specialty, so I repeated the mating. We got two from this litter, out of nine, born nine days early. "Oscar" and "Ninivah", both blue Dominoes. Here is the pedigree of the litter....
Aust.Ch Ormalu Standin' Ovation ![]() "Oscar" Blue Domino. Won CHAMPION PUPPY IN SHOW at the 1st National, with his sister, second in the corresponding class (Minor Puppy) - (Champion Puppy is where the winners of the Minor and Puppy Classes meet to decide the overall winner, technically Puppy of Breed.) There were 65 minors and puppies entered at the 1st National. "Oscar" also won numerous awards in NSW whilst with my friends, including Best in Groups and "In Show" awards. He also took out Best of Breed 1990 Brisbane Royal. Plus I took him in the Ladies Canine Parade (a glorified handlers class, where you are judged on what you wear and how you handle the dog, his condition and the Judge's assessment of him to the Standard). I won it that year, and have won it three times and been placed either second, third or fourth, five times.
Aust.Ch Ormalu Ovanyt S'nsation ![]() "Ninivah" blue domino (pictured above), was a TOP PUPPY OF THE YEAR 84/85 plus RUNNER UP BITCH 86/87. She was also a Best in Group Winner, Class winner (Intermediate) at the 2nd National in Victoria, plus numerous "In Group" and "In Show" awards. She was also 2nd at our QAHA Specialty, Open Bitch, to the legendary "Lola". She also won the Intermediate Bitch Class at the Melbourne Royal.
Aust.Ch Ormalu Is Playing Solitair Another "Linny" daughter, "Fallon", gold domino, was also a TOP PUPPY OF THE YEAR 88/89, as well as CHAMPION PUPPY IN SHOW QAHA SPECIALTY 1989. My racing dog, "Rhys" won the Junior Dog class and was Opposite Sex Junior in Show. He had bad skin problems, so he was never shown much after that, he used to scratch until he bled, I ended up cutting his coat off altogether. "Fallon" was also a Best in Group winner, plus many "In Group" awards Here is Fallon's pedigree...
