Orissa MuayThai Union is the Only Registered & Recognised State Level Muaythai Governing Body of Orissa to run, Promote & Control the Amateur (Sports) Muaythai under the banner & logo of Muaythai Federation of India - MFI & Amateur Muaythai Association of India - AMAI. Which it self is an affiliated body of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur - IFMA, Federation of Amateur Muaythai of Asia-FAMA & World Muaythai Council - WMC. IFMA is a Full Member of General Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF Recognised by: INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE - IOC).
Muaythai Federation of India (MFI) Approved by: Indian Olympic Association - IOA in the year of 1998 to prepare Indian Muaythai Team to participate in the 13th Asian Games -98 Recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia held at Thailand. That is the first honour in which the Indian National team headed by Mr. Oken Jeet Sandham President, Muaythai Federation of India had got 2 Bronze Medals and which is making a history for Muaythai in India.
