These are a few hints that may help you in the game.
ALWAYS backup files before attemting my tips
I don't want you to lose them because of me.
--->This First one is how to start a single player game with a high level charactor from a multiplayer game.
First go into the folder where u saved the game when you installed it(usually it is stored in c/:program files/ssi/poolofradiance). After you have opened the roster folder click on MP to open the multi player charactor saved files. Copie the file and then go back to the roster folder and paste it. The next time you go to start a single player game you will begin with a better charactor. Enjoy!
--->This next hint is on how to upgrade your charactors stats.
This is a little time consuming, but it works and it doesn't mess up the game like some hacks do. Firstly you make a charactor (we'll call the charactor bob from now on). Then you start a single player game using bob. when you first get into the game (i'm assuming u can handle the encounters) get the word that opens the first level into the dungeon from barien and then head over to the dungeon opening (the large red circle in front of doors). Go down the stairs. ther you will see 2 doors leading out of the room, 1 goes north the other east. Take the east door. keep heading east untill you see a fork in the road, from here you take the path on the right (the 1 that angles southeast). when you come to a octogonal room that has frozen doors and 5 big gems in the middle head to the west side of it. There should be what apears to be a "bedroom" of some kind with 4 orcs in it. when you aproach the nothern door it asks you to listen to whats being said on the other side. Open the door and dispatch the enemies on the other side. Now head northeast past the pillars there is a piece of the wall that looks out of place. Search it. You should find a secret door that leads you to 6 barrels, each barrel grants you +1 to an atribute (str, dex, int, ect...). Be warned if u go to far into the room a shadow attacks you. After consuming the barrels save the game ( ill save it as gametest). Now exit the game and open the pool of radiance files in the drive u saved it on when u installed it (usually in the c drive). Open the roster file and click the MP folder. delete your charactor from the multiplayer file. Re-enter the game and load gametest. have bob travel back to the begining stairs of the dungeon and climb them. This will automaticly save your charactor in the multiplayer file. Now save the game again as gametest. quit the program. Go back into the roster file and open up the MP fileolder. cut bob's file and past it in the roster folder. Now your single player charactor has +1 to all his atributes. TO keep adding to his abilities, start a new single player game using bob and repeat all of the above steps. Have fun with this one!
