The Time Machine
  • A brilliant scientist builds a machine that can travel through time.  The man uses the machine to travel into the future where the world is a very different place.  He struggles to regain his time machine after it was stolen by a humanoid race called the Morlocks.

  • The Island of Dr. Moreau is about a genius scientist who has lost his sense of humanity.  He lives on an uninhabited island where he creates monsters that are animals but human in shape.  A shipwreck happens near by and the people on board come to the island were they are horrified to find these man-beasts.

  • The story of a shop assistant who goes on a bicycle ride and saves a damsel in distress.

  • The tale of a brilliant young physicist named Griffin who turns himself invisible.  Griffin has a growing apathy and cares nothing for the people around him. He wishes to use his powers for personal gain and to terrify the public.

  • The story follows a man's adventures as England is invaded by Martians. The Martians use impressive war machines and weapons that are no-match for their human enemies.

When the Sleeper Wakes

  • A man awakes after 200 years and finds that due to accumulated wealth he rules the world. The world itself is a futuristic wonderland with television, airplanes flying over the ocean four times a day and many other such inventions. Underground there are workers who are uneducated and inarticulate. A man named Ostrog exploits the sleeper but the sleeper finds out and tries to save the world from Ostrog.

Albert succeeds in starting a war and even goes as far as to try and battle the United States. The world is thrust into a huge conflict where many people die and cities are destroyed.

  • The story of Ann Veronica, who fights for and gets the man that she wants. She does this by breaking up his loveless marriage. In the process she ruins her career, defies the society and becomes poor. The story ends happily with the two getting married and thus climes out of poverty.

  • The main character, George Ponderevo, is a young scientist who wants to earn his education but runs into many difficulties along the way. His family causes one such difficulty when his uncle files for bankruptcy causing him to lose his lab.
