The Dematones First Repertoire When the Dematones made their debut it was after some months of... not so much rehearsing, but more learning to play together as a group. These sessions were conducted in the front room of a small terraced house in Park Road, Sittingbourne. How understanding and tolerant the neighbours must have been... 3 electric guitars, an electric bass, and a snare drum initially, developing to a full drum kit, and amplifiers that were no longer small practice amps, but full stage amps. The first engagement was playing for an "after dinner" dance at a private New Year's Eve party. The repertoire at that dance was a total of just 20 songs/instrumentals.. ... (with a few repeats and pauses for speeches / thankyous / and an interval, it was sufficient to fill the evening). |
