The Heart of Florida Orff Chapter is a local non-profit organization for music educators. It was recently chartered to serve the Gainesville, Ocala and surrounding areas as one of the newest chapters with the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA).

Heart of Florida supports and educates local education professionals about the Orff Schulwerk philosophy of incorporating music, movement, and speech concepts as developed by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. All of these concepts encourage the development of the total child.

Heart of Florida members receive continual development of best teacher practices and a community of support within elemental music education. Active participation in our area workshops will inspire creative musical growth and develop professional friendships and networking opportunities. By associating with other talented music educators, you can share ideas at a professional level beyond the local school level.  Education professionals who are new to the Orff Schulwerk process and don't have access to the barred instruments, will be introduced to the Schulwerk Process, a highly successful tool for student development.

We encourage you to contact us and begin a new musical journey for yourself and your students by becoming a member of the Heart of Florida Orff Chapter. It will be an experience you`ll always remember and foster friendships that last a lifetime.
